I have a '95 and after replacing 7 bulbs I finally got every exterior light to work again!! Th marker lights below the tail lights don't work at all. I have tried 3 new bulbs, checked the fuses and still no lights, am I missing something? My rear light bar(between tail lights) got wet and doesnt work, how hard is it to add some LED's back there, removal is easy but unsure about the actual mounting of LED's. Thanks Ya'll

Look up in the stickies at the top of this thread for a write-up on the LED tail light. The centers didn't light up originally. The lenses in the back, down below the brake lights, those are just reflectors, not lights. Cheers!

wow i didnt know the rear marker lights below the turn/btrake lights wern't original. The look completely stock. I cant cahes the wire down as it goes up into the bumper and with the stupid trailer hitch there i cant get my arm n there. I will try to post some pictures tonight.
""The centers didn't light up originally."" I thought the light bat between the brake/tail lights lit up, hence the wire harness just to the side of the trunk lock on the inside after removal??
its a 95/96 so not too sure, but i appreciate all the help from the forum, now if i can just find a remote i can reprogam that so i dont have to use my keys to get in!

This is one of those lighting projects people have discussed in the past, but nobody here ever tried it. Did you buy your Aurora from a person or dealership? Be curious to know the details if you could get ahold of the previous owner. ""The centers didn't light up originally."" Here's the center panel LED write-up, the photos might show the wiring you wondered about: aurorah.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Audio&action=display&thread=20373its a 95/96 so not too sure, but i appreciate all the help from the forum, now if i can just find a remote i can reprogam that so i dont have to use my keys to get in! Ebay! Just match the numbers on the back, follow the programming instructions in this link, and it should work. You should be able to determine your model year from the VIN, there's a link around here somewhere to a VIN Decoder website that gives you all kinds of info on your car.

I hearby apoligise to the forum, the car is a 98, maybe thats why eveyone thought I was crazy when I said those marker lights lit up. I assume that on the 98 they were changed form the 95(thought thats what she was). Sorry for any confusion, but I still cant get power back there and I have checked all my fuses.

The wiring in the trunk lid is for the electric lock release. The side marker lights should light up, but the ones below the tail light, AFAIK were just reflectors on all classics, 95-99. In order to have a stock looking light there, not just a hot-spot led, one would have to hollow out part of the rear bumper impact absorbing foam and install parabolic dished fixtures, like the side markers are. Not saying that hasn't been done to your car (but I'll admit to being skeptical til I see pics lol.) And nobody thinks you're crazy... at least no more than the rest of us. We've all seen some crazy things done to cars.

I WILL take pics this weekend for everyone. The marker lights have a GM # stamped on them so i'm sure they are stock and pics will clarify. I hope to figure out why they dont work so I can finish off the car.

is the file size too large? They won't upload if it's over a megabyte or two. Open it in MS Paint (if you're on Windows) and hit Ctrl+W to resize an image. Once you get it uploaded it gives you links to copy and paste into your post.

imagehost.auroraclubna.com/?v=aurghg.bmpCool, thanks I didn't realise I had to copy and paste the links, this is not my car, mine is green and doesnt have the spolier or ground effects. I used this picture to reference the marker lights i'm reffering to.

Yeah, those are just reflectors. I have the back bumper off of my parts car; I'll post pics of the innards this afternoon.

Bob, thanks for the pics. How hard is it to pull the bumper cover? There is a hitch installed and I can't get my arm in there to untiwst the light on the passanger side. My car defitnantly has bulbs in there. Maybe it was a canadian version since it came from up north? The light housings have GM #'s on it, I PROMISE to get some pics up!

It's not real hard, probably a little easier than the front one since the hardware is accessible inside the trunk. Pull back the liner from the corners, there's two nuts facing forward and I think two bolts facing down. Remove screws from the back half of the wheel wells, right along the edge of the cover. Unplug the single connector shown in the pic and you're there. Not sure if your trailer hitch will affect removal, but you can maybe just loosen one side?

Did you have any luck getting power to the lights? Could you also post some more pics if you get a chance? Would like to see how they are mounted and how they look on the car.

Looked at mine, and 4 gm 3g is what is on the factory lenses, so they are the normal reflectors #.
