Classic All-In-One Relay HarnessUsing the wiring diagram linked below will allow the DRL to be relocated from low beam to high beam, Flash-To-Pass on high beam only(no activation of HIDs) while still allowing quad high beam. Basically an all-in-one relay harness. There are several advantages of this relay setup including but not limited to: - DRL Relocation (especially for Canadians which are required)
- Less wear on HID ballasts/bulbs
- Pulls steady power straight from battery not relying on OEM wiring
- Protects OEM wiring and MFS.
You do not need to have HIDs to use this setup and can omit DRL, projector solenoid and/or high to low relay to your liking. Video Sequence:- Shift Out of Park/DRL On
- DRL/Flash-To-Pass
- DRL/LED Park Lamps
- DRL/LED Park Lamps/LED Turn Indicator
- LED Park Lamps/Low Beam HID On/DRL Off
- LED Park Lamps/Flash-To-Pass(HID Projector Solenoid Drop & High
Beam)
- Led Park Lamps/Quad High Beam
- Low Beam/LED Turn Indicator
- LED Park Lamps/DRL
- DRL
- Shift to Park
You can make two independent relay harnesses exactly like above or purchase a 9007 Bi-Xenon Harness and modify it with the High-To-Low mini relay. Just a note that the new TRS Bi-Xenon harness will NOT work. It uses a micro-controller to automatically keep lows on when highs are on, but as we know that will flash HIDs during the day. I will include install pictures once the bi-xenon harness arrives but until then the test harness I built works fine.

Like everything else since I was 8 years old I had to take it apart to see how it ticked. I definitely DO NOT recommend using one of these in this setup. To be honest it is cheap junk the brains of the operation per say. The wire harness in itself is good. I honestly, would not trust this relay setup for even low beam HID only never the less try to power halogen as well. Better to grab both a 9006 and 9005 relay harness and wire as the diagram states. I ended up building the 9005 high beam harness from the wiring off the bunk 9007 bi-xenon. Here's the pictures of the bi-xenon harness brains just for laughs. I will stick to Bosch or Tyco relays! Bi-Xenon Relay Housing: Housing Opened: Relay PCB: Instead of using the mini relay shown in the diagram for the high to low operation I instead came up with another more complex yet smaller footprint then worrying about mounting another relay elsewhere even if it is a micro relay. It's all in and works perfect still! Wish I had gotten more pictures but once you lay everything out it is pretty much self explanatory. Again if you have questions... ask away!

To set up how you show it in your diagram, do I need to obtain a whole new harness or do I make an adjustment to the stock set up?

If your high beams are DRL (which IMHO is not cool, even in the daytime Oin TX, high beams are annoying, js) don't you eliminate the functionality of flash-to-pass?
Overall very nice job though, looks cool in the video.

Overall very nice job though, looks cool in the video. The DRL is reduced intensity in the high beam projector. The flash-to-pass function still works. If DRLs are on it goes to full intensity. The 2G uses reduced intensity DRL on high beam reflector which is inherently no different I suppose. Many vehicles use high beam for DRL from factory. I have a switch on the CarPC which is 'DRL OFF' and can turn it on/off at will, but default is ON. My v3 Triton w/ custom controller LED 'fog'/DRL/Turn signals also act as DRL at reduced intensity if I choose to. Here is a video of that setup... These videos are old but much I did mod a pair of Hella Gen3 ballasts for for 37/46/55w. 37w regular/55w high beam when BiX solenoid drops. 46w and 55w on demand via carpc.
