Welcome to the Official Message Boards of the Aurora Club of North America
The message boards for the ACNA is a community message board tailored specifically for owners of the Oldsmobile Aurora. The first and most important rule is simply; respect for each other. Our members are all bonded together by one common trait and that is our love for these vehicles. To join us is to adopt our premise and uphold that value.
The ACNA is ultimately run by the community itself. This is our first value; we are all responsible for this community.
The rules of this community:
No vulgarity in post content or signatures. Avoid using cr3ative spel1ing to avoid language filters in place.
No inappropriate discussion of religion, creed, race, politics or sexual preference. This means most discussions of the aforementioned topics. If it's not news or fact-based, it is probably not appropriate. Don't post your incitable (vs insightful) opinion.
No spamming or commercial solicitation of any kind by members unless specifically given the right by administrators. Any such messages can be removed at the discretion of either a forum moderator or administrator. Selling of individual items is permissible by a private owner in our Classifieds forums, however selling multiple items of the same product is considered a commercial post and may be removed at the discretion of moderators and/or Staff.
Each post is the property of the author but is subject to appropriate screening and editing by ACNA Staff.
Commercial vendors wish to post on message boards must seek permission from ACNA message board Staff before any solicitation of any ACNA member.
No flaming of other members or trolling of sensitive topics to incite or perpetuate a conflict or argument.
Personal attacks or name-calling can get you banned. Repeated offenses WILL get you banned.
No spamming forums or threads with pointless posts. While the ACNA is a friendly site, and there will be some amount of friendly banter, pointless drivel reduces the value of the information found here. While drivel may not violate any of the other ACNA rules, it can turn off members or cause them to stop contributing to the discussion. Therefore, excessive pointless posting can result in temporarily revoked posting ability. Continued pointless posting can result in a ban.
Private Messaging on the ACNA message boards is a privilege. Abuse of any member off public forums can result in temporarily revoked posting ability. Further antagonizing or abuse can result in a ban. In addition, private messages are not intended to deprive the Message boards of valuable information or experiences which could benefit the entire group. Please do not use private messages if the content of the message can be helpful to others.
No linking or posting of pornographic or objectionable material. Any questionable material must be indicated as such and is subject to review at the Staff's discretion. This is a family oriented site, keep it that way.
Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself. This includes registering multiple usernames or masking your IP address through online software or any other method. There is no legitimate reason to have more than one username, and individuals found to have more than one will have all accounts banned.
Honesty and integrity in posting is important on this forum. Do not fabricate information about yourself, your automotive ownership, or your knowledge of Auroras - lying and misinformation is of no help to anyone.
Do not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage ANY illegal activity on the forums. Non compliance with this policy will get you banned.
You must have a valid e-mail account in your profile so you can be reached by any staff member.
We are all here for the same reason, to support, learn, respect and appreciate the knowledge of others.
Non-conformance of the rules listed above are grounds for immediate banning of your account at moderator or administrator discretion.
