randy was in a stock non-autobahn, my non autobahn isn't stock. my first run ever at a track. talking some last minute smack to randy @ 0:23, race starts @ 1:32, i was winning until i left off and braked, that's when randy flew by me. i couldn't see anything at the end it was dark and the road just disappeared. i had at least a cart length, maybe 2 before he started catching up to me between the 1/8 and 1000 ft. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oa7weys1n-YRandy vs. Lance Pt. 2 and aura1 vs a 300C www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_JniEnVaWk

Well sorta. Looking at Randy's timeslips, you just tree'ed Randy pretty good. Randy's had better times throughout the first run. What happened on the third run? You lost .2 mph in the final 300 feet. I think since yours is a non-autobahn it probably shifted into third within that segment?
Going to the track sure is addicting though, huh? What temp was it? Anyone lower their tire pressures? It doesn't sound like in any of the vids you guys had traction problems.

I second that. We didnt get there til later and got right in line thus we didn't have a lot of time to change/tweak stuff. We'll go earlier next year.

I had a few traction issues, nothing compared to the 300c. The one race I had with lance I beat him, but only due to my faster MPH at the end of the 1/4. Neither one of us were sure of where the end was and lance and I both braked early that run. I'm still waiting for someone to upload the vids of me and collins running. like lance said, there wasnt enough time to get out of your car to even touch it. None of us had the opportunity to do anything....except drive haha

Here is one video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4YPffImHoUWell sorta. It was really fun, I can't wait to go back. ;D ;D I need to fix a power steering hose on my Autobahn to get it out there. I didn't have any traction problems, I think they were spraying that traction stuff. I was even able to roast my tires once to warm them up. They started spinning and caught traction which then about launched me past the tree. It is in the video where I am racing the 300c. When the camera turns toward us you can see my front tire smoking for a second. None of us had the opportunity to do anything....except drive haha I have been attempting to upload the videos. I have Hughesnet satellite internet and I can only use so many MB per day. Then when I use it, it slowly fills back up. It is unlimited after 2 am until 6am. I had all the videos uploading last night, but my screen shut down, which stopped my uploads. And I have been uploading many pics + a video and I am close to being fapped which slows me down to dial up speed for 24 hours. I am trying.

I've been busy with Thermodynamics the past couple of days, I promise to get the rest of them uploaded tomorrow along with my timeslips. I don't know how many more of them there are, Randy's brother Jaysin was the one taking the vids and I don't think he got every run.

I have been working on it. I tried to upload a couple again last night and they had both failed this morning. I am going to try photobucket tonight instead of youtube. There is one of the Aurora and Grand Am linked above.

So what happened to the rest of 'em? What Colins and the GA GT run? I've got the time slips, so I will upload them the best I can. Remember though, collins and my GA GT both braked early..that track gets dark fast.

after taking a closer look I braked early each and every run. my 1000 FT MPH is lower than my 1/4 MPH on each run. but here they are collins's run against the GA GT SE RA you can see how we both braked early on that. My number is 4094 collins is on the left. I had him at the 60ft mark, and it looks like he had just began to overtake me at the 300 ft mark. this is the GA GT SE RA VS. the 300c, my reaction time bested his but it was nothing for the 300 to take me. sorry about the "tilting your head to see" thing, my camera isnt the highest quality and you wouldnt be able to make out the letters had I not turned it

I wouldn't feel to bad about those times for a 2 ton car making 250hp bone stock. As far as reaction times go, when I drag raced some and got to where I was cutting a good light, I was trying to leave just a little bit before I saw the last yellow light come on. Every body is a little different. Your mind has to tell your foot to step on the gas, this take a little bit of time, the throttle has to snap open and the injectors have to dump in gas, this takes time, the care rocks back on the suspension and the tires bite, this takes time, of course this all adds up. You also have a little bit of roll out before the light beam clears the back of the front tire. When I cut a good light it seemed like I would red light because I was moving before the light turned green. You can feel like you got a pretty decent light when you are a 0.50 or better. The best I ever cut was a 0.04. This is all on a amatuer tree, its a totally different story on a pro tree as it flashes down almost all at the same time.
As far as the finish line goes, it can be tough to tell, even more so at night. There are usually 3 sets of lights at the end. The first is before the finish line, the last is after the finish line and this is what gives you your trap speed. The middle lights are for the actual finish line and give you your ET. Some tracks have a cross hatched area striped but its hard to see after its been run over several hundered times. I raeced at a 1/8 mile track some and the lighting was really bad at night.
One thing to keep in mind is your reaction time has nothing to do with your elaspsed time. If you have a 15 second 1/4 mile car and sit and look at the green light for 10 seconds, your ET still shows up as 15 seconds, not 25 seconds. The 10 seconds just shows up as your reaction time.
I'm guessing the 300C wasn't totally stock either. That seems pretty quick for even a SRT8.

Colins would be a bit over a 16 flat, and the GA would be around a mid 16, 16.6 or so.

Here it is, the official video. Youtube garbled the end a bit (you'll see the errors) so I'm going to get a better connection and try uploading it again later in the week. This is a temporary video, not the finished product! ;D
***I removed the link, the video is having problems uploading correctly. I'll get it going soon.***
