Props to 1996aurora for suggesting this "why didn't I think of that" idea.

It looks like it was originally planned by GM, but probably pushed their overhead right through the roof.
Tools required:
Phillips screwdriver
8mm nut driver
Awl or small screwdriver (to unclip door connectors)
wire cutters
x-acto or similar knife (to strip wire insulation)
soldering equipment* and/or 10-12 ga. crimp connectors
(*heavy gauge wires, so minimum 40watt iron I think - I use butane)
1/4" heat shrink tubing and/or electrical tape
a parts car with EDM
To get to it:
Remove the inner door panel screws (one phillips screw in the handle, two 8mm screws at the bottom.) Lift the panel and let it lean in, hanging on the red hooks. Unplug the connectors (it helps to have three hands for this) then lift and set the panel aside.
Press in the tab and remove the express down module (EDM). Cut the wires long enough to reach through the black plastic barrier with the rest of the wires. (see photo below)
Install the module in your passenger door and feed the wires through the plastic barrier. Here it is installed in the passenger door. The mounting clip cutout is mirrored, so you have to flip the module over (wires up.)
Isolate C601 (black connector) and prepare the wires. When stripping wires, do not use a sawing motion with the blade, just gently roll it around the wire, being careful not to draw the blade across the copper. Nicks lead to breaks over time. For the blue wires, do two spots about 1/4" apart, then carefully make one lengthwise cut to remove the section of insulation as shown.
Splice (tee fashion) EDM pin A (brown or purple) to C601 pin D (blue)
Splice (another tee) EDM pin C (blue) to C601 pin G (blue)
Line up the EDM gray wire with the brown wire from C601 pin J.
Cut the brown wire to C601 pin J at an appropriate spot (based on the gray wire)
Splice the connector side of the brown wire to EDM pin B (gray)
Splice the door-side of the cut brown wire to the EDM pin D (brown).
Wrap it up with tape/heat shrink tubing and button the door back up. Viola! You now have express down on the passenger window. Note that the express module is deactivated when windows are locked out, so the driver can still roll it down, but no express function. Enjoy!
