Alright well Im going to do a write up on how to claybar your car. Tools you will need: A claybar a micro-fiber towel quick detailer spray and wax First thing you do is get the Clay out of the package and kneed it. You will know when to stop kneeding it once it becomes very pliable and expands outwards a bit. Now you spray the body panel with the quick detailer dont be shy with this stuff, use quite a bit! once you do that wipe the panel off with a normal towel to ensure a clean area. Next you spray a large amount of the detailer over the body panel that you are claying, be sure to keep this area lubricated very well in order for the bar to work Start with light and gentle rubbing, make sure you get to all of the detailer with the clay bar. You will feel some pulsing when rubbing the car, this is normal just keep rubbing the clay over the panel. DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE let the claybar do the work not your hand. Next you wipe the detailer off with the microfiber towl and VOOLAH Before After Now things to avoid doing with the claybar. 1. dont use too much force when working on the panels 2. DONT be an idiot and drop the clay bar like me 3. once the bar has been used up dont re-use it pitch it. 4. now here are just some more pics Now after all the hard work you've done sit back light one up and crack open a cold one...in my case I cracked open a sunkist but it was still worth it!!!

haha yeah light the candle to relax, riight. I won't hassle you on that statement anymore. You only got a year or less it looks like till you can enjoy a cold brew (legally) after a job well done or half through a job when you get frustrated.

Nice writeup. Pretty much follows the YouTube video to a tee. :-P
I have yet to crack open a brew while working on my car, and I've been legal for about 4months, and my parents didn't care about me drinking once I turned 18. :\

I'll say using a claybar and a good power buffer will give you great results. I use a dewalt multi speed buffer/grinder i'll get the model number if anyone need's it. But claybar and a buffer wow. 1-claybar 2 polish buffer at 2500 rpms i use a 3m egg crate polish pad. 3-wax . I do this 4 times a year on all my cars.
aura1 is that a foxbody stang i see in the back ground? Another gm ford man huh? lol

I'm doing mine right now....taking a break in fact.
I don't think this 01 has ever been waxed or detailed. Paint looks good, but is really rough. I'm using the same kit. I used it already on the GP (in sig) and was pleased.
It should shine great after I go wax it right now

Nope, I will own. My straights will kill the "performance" that removing your engine cover adds. Just you wait. BTW Lance, you can scratch 2nd all you want. I'll still kick YOUR behind too. ;D

hmmmm if I remember correctly, the 98 model year, was proven to be quicker than 96 and all in all better in all the aspects. Your striaght pipes wont own much of anything except a ticket in illinois. Cops up here dont like loud noises!! oh nvm your not coming, party pooper! and my engine cover removal modd gained me 1/2 a horse, what those straight pipes gained you at the most 1/8th of horse.....

Just clay barred my aurora and my dad's truck, this post helped a lot even if the pics are broken. Very easy to do and I'm surprised nobody I know knows what I mean by clay barring!
