May brings the return of the 2nd-gen, much to the satisfaction of other 2nd-gen owners I'm sure! Congrats to LateNight and his 2001 4.0L!

First and foremost, I'd like to thank anyone who voted for me. It's a honor to be featured.
Aurora ownership has been a real treat and pleasure.
To be fully honest, when I first started looking for a car, the Aurora was no where on my radar. While planning my "hit list" of cars I wanted to scope out, Shawn (95mushroom) linked me to a Silver 2nd Gen on AutoTrader. Fortunately we setup an appointment to view the car. The time came. Shawn and myself took the car out for the initial test drive and some fun times were had. Once we left the dealership to go look at some other cars, my parents informed me that my "test drive" was quite audible. I am not sure if they were referring to the 30mph punch of the throttle where I had traction issues, when we did the 90mph highway speed check on the small backroad leading to the dealership or the minor off-roading we had to do when we got lost. Either way, I was impressed.
Now that I've had the car for over two years, I haven't been more impressed. The car has been virtually trouble free with only very minor issues. Though not technically my first car, it has been a great first drivable car. As anyone can attest, I do not baby the car. Many a time has she saved my hind-- able to get it reeled in when I pushed her past the limits. I have gotten more compliments on the car than I care to count. From the comfy interior to the good looks.
I have not done too much in the way of upgrading. A simple cone air filter, STS rear sway bar and some Polyurethane Anti-sway Bar end links and mounts to button up the suspension. I have more than a few upgrades up my sleeve. But you will have to stay tuned for more on those...
Now on to a few pictures.
