i have some ideas for things to sell. i'm thinking some nice framed photographs or some paintings which i will use my car as a model to draw but can be any color aurora. i use to airbrush cars a lot on t-shirts. but i think some AURORA ART is on its way this winter when i'm snowed in.

I finalized the calendar a few minutes ago, and I am very proud to announce that the first ever calendar of the Aurora Club of North America is ready to go and avaliable for purchasing! ;D Thank you so much for all of the kind words and thank yous, I definitely appreciate it. It was a bit of work, but I didn't mind it one bit. ACNA has done a lot for me and my baby, it's nice to do something for everyone in return! I hope everyone enjoys the calendar, it is truly a collector's item. I don't think anyone has ever done an "Aurora" calendar before; I can't begin to describe how honored I am to have helped assemble the first one. This is such a nice, helpful, friendly group of people. It's nice to be able to give something back. I would like to thank everyone that helped me with the process, especially Kaykirk and Scottydl. They both put forth a lot of effort, and it definitely helped everything run a lot smoother on my end. Couldn't have done it without you guys! I was thinking about it, and it is definitely fitting that the first ever Aurora calendar would be composed of cars from ACNA! I'm still waiting to hear from the Olds Club of America, hopefully we can get a few words in there so that we can share our calendar with other Oldsmobile enthusiasts. I'm going to take a couple months off, and then get things rolling for next year's calendar. I have taken note of the few hiccups we had this year, and it should run even more smoothly for 2010. BTW, I just have to add another comment. I believe that over the course of the submission/voting/design proccess, I had a total of FOUR stickied threads... how do you like that, Randy? ;D

Are the calenders sealed in plastic and shipped in an envelope ?
Also - What is economy shipping versus standard shipping ?

Not sure about actual shipping method, but Economy Shipping is likely something similar to USPS Media Mail while Standard would be First Class. Premium is probably Priority Mail. Maybe an arrival difference of 3-7 days overall. Media mail can be slow sometimes, but I usually choose it when I can because it's so cheap. The actual shipping cost of something like a calendar is probably $3, so at $5.25 (economy rate for me) CafePress is making a couple dollars profit on that end of things. That's the nature of the beast. You do get quite a break on shipping by ordering multiple calendars. Makes a great Christmas gift! I'm ordering mine today via Economy Shipping, so I'll report back when/how it arrives unless someone else posts theirs first. **COUPONS: there are quite a few CafePress coupon codes available online. Best ones I've found so far are $5 off $50 order, or free shipping with a $50 order. In case you are ordering multiples...

I ordered mine 5 seconds after I officially put it up for sale and had it sent via economy shipping... It should be here soon! ***edit*** The first ever ACNA Calendar is in my hands! It looks awesome, I'm really happy with it! Hope you all like yours! The possibilities are endless with cafepress... we could even do a T shirt or something if we wanted to. I was thinking about getting a final design on those business cars and throwing those up there... what do you all think?

I had thought of ACNA business/referral cards and window stickers, but would CafePress charge a commission + $5 shipping on every order? If so it really would be cheaper for us to keep making them ourselves. It would be nice to have everything in one place, but at what price?

Got mine yesterday and I LOVE IT. Can't wait until the new year so I can put it up! It is really awesome to have something like this that features so many of our members' cars. From a little group of Aurora owners that started this forum in 2004... I didn't come around until a few months after that, and the club membership and activity has come a looong way since then. I think I'm getting sentimental!

Ordered mine 12/12 and it arrived 12/22 or 12/23 (we missed getting the mail there for a day). So 10-11 days and that was via the Economy shipping option.
Plus the weeks surrounding Dec. 25th and second only to the weeks surrounding April 15th, as the busiest times for the Post Office and other parcel delivery services. I'm sure that adds a day or two to the transit as well.

I think I'm getting sentimental! Mine's already up, proudly displaying Lance's ROARAH, waiting for January! I agree tho, it's nice to have something thats ours that is so unique. I've only been around for a few months myself, but I wish I had gotten into it sooner! This is truly a great group to be a part of.
