**Updated 11.29.12** I've been doing this since the thread was started back in January of 2009 with pretty great results. The price is $55 shipped plus the return of your old lenses once you install the clears. This is where the "exchange" portion comes from! If we keep it up everyone on ACNA will have a part from another member's car. ;D (I also require an additional $25 core charge, details below.)I've had some problems in the past with lenses not getting returned. I solved the problem by requiring a core charge of $25 in addition to the purchase price. I will return the core charge to you after I get your old lenses back. (I will send a full $25 back, but all paypal users know that they take a cut. I think something like $18.50 comes back to you.) And of course if you want to keep your old lenses, just let me know! I'll just keep the core charge. I don't mind getting a new set off of eBay if you wish to keep both sets. PM me if you are interested and I'll let you know when I can get you a set. I usually have one ready to go! Here's a list of the lenses I've made and who they were purchased by, kind of like a list of references. If you ask any one of them they would give you their opinion of the whole process, I encourage you to do so if you have any shortcomings about the process. Everyone has been satisfied thus far! Myself:Roara: Lanceslambos: (made these at the 2nd or 3rd Missouri meet and installed them) rcsgreat: (made these at an Illinois meet and installed them) dietz4ibanez:lkraft92 (made these ahead of time and installed them at the 4th Missouri meet) oldsnutSee his thread here. I made him a set using the clear diffuser from a second set of lenses for a more stock look. These are definitely doable but require sacrificing a second set of lenses. I can get these done depending on availability of parts. I always stock up on extra markers from the yard when I can. Add an additional $15 to the price for this type of lens, as markers are $7.50 each at my local pick-and-pull. I don't make any additional profit, This is just adding the cost of parts. Again just shoot me a PM if you're interested and we can talk about details. Thanks!

The legend of the clear corner vendor lives on! Maybe I can help with the sale. Here is a back to back of mine. My clears were prepared identically, down to even the same diffusor panel. A 3057 amber bulb was used as well. Dam i really liked ur aurora.. it was so SHARP.....

The legend of the clear corner vendor lives on! I'll do my best to carry the title with honor! ;D Thanks for the pics, I'm refusing to take any pictures of my car until I get the chromes back on after winter haha, so I only had a couple to work with. It's no coincident that we used the same material... I had your instructions from the clears thread printed out when I made them haha

Many of you have seen the recent pics of my car in the Feb feature... that is a good example of how good the clears look.
Like I said before I'm willing to negotiate price... shoot me a PM if you're interested.

haha of course, no big deal Lance. I know how it goes! Until auroraowner44 sends me his lenses I won't have a set to work on , but as soon as I get those I'll clear them. Thats part of the reason I include your old lenses as part of the price; There's no need to fuss with getting yours to me or buying a second set or anything like that.

Yes they can, thats part of my plan. The set pictured is sitting on my closet shelf right now ready to be shipped. The reason I require their old set to be sent back to me as part of the price is so that I can make those into clears and have them ready to sell to the next person. Here's the process: When someone orders them from me they will pay me and I will ship the set of clear corners I have right now, which is on my closet shelf as mentioned before. (aka not the ones on my 96) They will then take that set of clears, swap it for the set currently in their car (with the yellow reflectors) and send their old set back to me once their new clears are installed. I will then take that set, clear it, and have it ready to sell to the next person. Hence no need to have your car sit without lenses for a week, It will only be without them for the length of time that it takes you to swap out the lenses. ;D Hope this hasn't been the reason that people don't seem to want to buy them... thought I made all this clear. Sorry guys. Bottom line, I bought an extra set so that you won't be sitting without lenses for a week or so and so that I won't be so rushed to do them! My inbox is always open and the price isn't firm, If you need to negotiate a little bit feel free to do so. All ACNAers are friends of mine! Well, all except you Rob.

I deleted several off-topic posts. Please be respectful to the original poster and don't shoot off in some other unrelated direction. We have Water Cooler and PM's for that.

I will be interested sometime this summer, pending my car gets running. Those look very sharp! Mine are ugly to me, and one is even flooded with water (probably should figure out why and reseal it when i replace the bulb)

Rob, the problem with that (and why I haven't done it, yet) is that the entire lens is Orange. Its not just an insert like the 1st Gen. However, I might have something. So stay tuned.

find a pair of a 2nd gen and try it out, I might be interested pending how much shipping would be I'll try it out of I can get a hold of a 2G lens, I'm short on cash right now so if I do it'll be from the junk yard or something. And I don't know how much shipping to Canada is... didn't we decide that it's not worth the effort? lol I'm intrigued, LN... You have a set of 2G clears in the works?

XJS the shipping would only be about $10 as the weight of them is close to nothing, the rims weighed so much thats why it wasn't worth it.
Junk yard is what I was saying for the corner lights, but if I lived an hour away or something like that then we would just use my own vehicle to try it out.
LN if you figure out a way lemmy know cause it doesn't bother me who I pay I just wanna get clears in so I can do it to my headlights and have those clear as well.
