This is not an Ebay alert, it's just a coincidence. I will guarantee mine is better than the Ebay car.
It's killing me but it has to be done.
I'm starting up a business and need the cash to get going. The car only has 8,300 miles on it. No dents and never in the rain as long as I have had it. All options except engine heater and navigation radio. I have the collector's edition kit as well. I have every maintenance record.
Questions can be answered and more pictures sent if need be - just PM me. It will go in the paper and then Ebay if I get no action.
Sorry Skexius. At least we will still have the '01.

Someone will probably buy that and beat the living crap out of it. Or even worse, drive it 25k miles a year and total it at one point. Good luck with your biz, hope it goes well.

I'd much rather sell it to someone on this board than some unknown, even if that means coming down a little.
Thanks for the good wishes.

Now that you know how to get here, it's easier to come back!
I just washed the two and boy it was great to see them side-by-side again nice and clean. It still smells brand new inside. Oh, I forgot, I even put about 20 miles on it this weekend!

So sorry you have to get rid of it... That would absolutely kill me. The odd thing about cars is as they age, they don't do so very gracefully most of the time, and worse, you always hate putting miles on them. It's quite a conundrum...

Don't do just one venue - and try autotrader first, too.... ebay is kinda a last resort thing I think.

How much does it cost to list a vehicle on ebay and how much is the selling fee? I have sold things on ebay before but never a car, the selling fee percentage must be lower otherwise it would be a freakin rip!

yeah autotrader is the best. gets lots of traffic. you should put the "Or best offer" just to get them to look at it.

i think ebay just charges a percentage of what your sold it for but i could be wrong. i know thats how they do it for regular goods. For regular goods there's a listing fee and if you sell the item(s) there is also a selling fee and it's getting pretty high too. Add to that the fee that Paypal charges if you use them and your out like 10% altogether.

I have never sold anything on Ebay. I'm going to post it to Autotrader tonite. I hope all goes well with the sale, but I'd like to give you my experience with Auto Trader. In a word, sucks. No action, no calls, no response for the full six weeks, I got one call at the end. I thought it was the vehicle, selling a truck as gas prices rise. The same ad placed in the local paper, instant calls, sold it in two days with more calls coming in for days afterward. When I asked Auto Trader for a refund they told me to pound salt. I advised the nice lady that I would repeat this story on the internet at every opportunity for as long as I can type, so here you are.

I was going to list my boat in Boat Trader, now I'm wondering if I should.

I advised the nice lady that I would repeat this story on the internet at every opportunity for as long as I can type, so here you are. I had a similar experience selling a car back in 1998 (after I bought our first Intrigue), BUT when I was shopping for our Aurora the past few weeks, I depended on Auto Trader. I guess it really depends on the market and the type of buyer. I use the internet a lot, so Autotrader.com was very handy for me. Also, I do a lot of business travel and I could look for cars in other cities easily. In fact, that's how I found our Final 500. Now that we're selling our second Intrigue, I will take your advice and post an ad in our local paper. Incidentally, our local paper is affiliated with wwww.cars.com, which I found inferior to Autotrader.com.

Wow. That's amazing Dan. Autotrader is widely known, and seems like they'd have much better customer service than that.

I sold my '53 in three days sight unseen to a guy in Florida on a website affiliated with the Oldsmobile Club of America. I was really shocked. I figured I would do the $29 special on Autotrader. Take a look at prices on this site I found today: oldsmobile.autoextra.com/model/aurora/2003Maybe I should be asking $30k for mine (not)! This is hard enough without all of the over analysis.
