Also, what's this pagan "karma" stuff doing on here? I am not a Zen Buddist! At the same time, being a Christian, would not want any other religious symbol or icon here as well. Seems kinda weird Feel the power of the Dark Side young Skywalker.

It's a new toy to play with. Doesn't do much (that I can tell), but it's something new to play with.
Gets old quick tho.

I suspect it's sort of an answer to post count? Some people look at post count to judge validity of opinions. I guess this gives everyone an opportunity to weigh in on someone else's credibility.
However, I doubt it will be that useful. Most people probably won't use it, and one person can hammer away at someone else if they wanted. Or open a second account to boost their karma. I guess it's a neat idea, but maybe only if it had some more limits, like user-pair limits. I noticed mine was up at 4, but has dropped several points since. I guess I was posting bogus/pointless info or something...

Ref. the karma thingy, seems to work well and I think it may have an effect on one of your pet pieves, Bob. The dreaded "post whore" will be smited often. Those of us with polorizing opinions (ahem, your's truly?) may also feel the wrath. I think it's great, we had this on one of my old boating forums.
