GTO (couldnt find any in my range) You serious? I just did a cars.com search for GTO's within 250 miles of Yorkville, IL. Price Limit of $18,000. I got 59 Hits. The most affordable ones on there are $11,900. Within 75 miles, there are 30 @ <$18K, 11 @ <$15K Within 50 miles, there are 26 @ <$18K, 10 @ <$15K Search Results: tinyurl.com/y8m4v3t I looked at some of those GTOs around here that are 11 and 12K and they look like the werent taken car of well. test drove a couple too, one had a vibration and the other had a clicking under the hood from something.. I dont want anything with a lot of miles either.. like 40K miles is to much for me.. i never looked on cars.com or anything like that. just drove around the old fashion way. guess i just havent been doing good enough research.

I owned a 2005 Bonneville GXP and though it was a nice car quality was poor and it was in for service every month almost. Nothing major but small crap just kept on breaking and I treat my cars very good. The GP looks and feels cheap to me and yeah 303 hp is nice but not on a front wheel drive car. Spinning your front wheels is so 1990s..... yea, and with a northstar it would be just like another aurora lol, money hog... thats a negative for sure...

maan ive seen the GXP bonnie run with the newer mustangs. And they sound sweet under hard acceleration. I just dont see why the heck GM didnt use the 4t80-e instead of the 4t65-e in the GP

The GXP is basically an Aurora with an ugly interior, 25 more horsepower, and better brakes. They aren't some performance monster.

Yea, I was kind of figuring you were doing the lot-to-lot deal. In reality its not bad idea, since you can actually look at the car on the spot. My Aurora was a 600 mile round trip, but I was able to look at more then the Aurora when I traveled, so it made it worth it. As far as mileage, the LS1/LS2 that the GTO is going to last, much longer than any Northstar or Aurora V8, with very minimal downtime. Plus, 400hp and a 6-Speed? I'm sold!
