Have this thread on a Jeep forum I'm a member of, always makes for some fun postings and ideas. Also, most things we do are usually too random to make an entire thread for.

Not today, but yesterday, I tied a plastic grocery bag around each OSRVM............
We have a cardinal that is in love with our car mirrors, and he makes a mess on the car. The grocery bags appear to confuse him - - or rather, un-confuse him.

I gave her a wash to get the salt off. They coat the roads with it here... gotta keep those chromies clean! She gets a wash every two days at a minimum, I wipe down the rims every day.

Got the Sunday paper out of the back seat. She's resting in the garage - she carried me 940 miles last week - she earned the sleep.

Wow, that's quite a trip! To where? Southern Indiana to Central Ohio to Northern Ohio and back. The poor girl was a salty mess when she got home, so she got a bath on Sunday and the day off on Monday.

She gets a wash every two days at a minimum, I wipe down the rims every day. about 10 months out of the year so do i but sadly it's been in the 20's for weeks here and today was unusually warm near 45 so i washed her by hand and i'm very disappointed b/c it seems her glory days maybe over...the chrome barely shines anymore. i scrubbed and scrubbed and my wheels that were absolutely perfect and i mean show room quality new looking are all covered in rust now! hopefully some steel wool will save them. i can't believe this since i waxed them constantly all summer. it's like she's really showing her age fast, the paint seems dull, my tint that's not even a year old is starting to bubble a little bit here and there. i topped off the coolant, wiper fluid, oil, transmission fluid and power steering fluid. i'm afraid she's starting to fall apart.

So is that the last of the tire battles, skiiirt? with those POS chrome alloys, its a never ending battle. I am trying to buy bravadaurora's alloys to replace the stock chromes. Then it will be the end! And to think I just bought a 15 gallon DeWalt air compressor too!

Changed the oil and replaced the rear shocks. A word of caution; 1 of the spring nuts on the bottom of the shock was bad on mine. So, being the weekend I bought some replacement ones at Advance Auto. Don't bother they're Chinese junk. Not enough thread in them. Went to torque the bolts at 18lb/ft and the bolt striped out. No problems with the old spring nut. Off to the dealer tomorrow for a new bolt and spring nut. Chinese junk

Jeeze that sucks, more and more things are chinese, i think GM is using chinese bearings and greases for the suspension components now, we'll so how long that works out.... Tried againto remove the pesky vanity plate mound and failed, like somebody just impacted the bolts into it and cant get a socket aound them

Don't bother they're Chinese junk. Not enough thread in them. It pays to go OEM. I guess you really get what you pay for! What are the wheels in your sig? Not stock chromies. My summer rims 18" Baccarat Mirage chromies wrapped with Goodyear Fierce tires. I just bough bravadaurora's stock 17" alloys to replace the stock chromes that are my winter rims. should be here in a few weeks!

did a boneyard "walkabout" this weekend... Nice find! I'd snag the seats if i were you, they look pristine! I would also take the section of dashboard that surrounds the steering wheel since those are notorious for cracking. It takes less than 5 minutes to pop off too.
