What year Aurora? Here is a visual of a power steering rack with the sub-frame out to swap a trans. I have not just swapped a rack alone, but I don't think it would be too bad.

Visual of rack still mounted on subframe out of car, and this is also just to help you see where the bolts are, I don't think you have to pull all this to remove it.

i was wondering if this could be done without dropping the cradle, and possibly unmounting it and sliding out one of the fender wells. i have checked the internet and found nothing on how to change out the rack. can someone in auroraland find something on this subject and post it to the how to do it list please! maybe some information out of a service manual would work as well and pics or a video would be awesome!

Everything in the book looks like it's nearly the same as the Intrigue... Jack up car and support it properly on at least 2 jack stands. You will end up wanting them on the tunnel behind the subframe by the time you are done. 1. Remove Sway Bar (take off wheels and undo end links) 2. Lock steering straight ahead - then unbolt the ISS - wiggle it off the rack shaft 3. Remove outer tie rod ends from the knuckles 4. Take PS hoses loose from the rack 5. Unbolt rack 6. Loosen rear subframe bolts as far as you dare to give more room. Loosen front to let everything sag down about an inch. 7. Snake rack out driver's foot well.
Son and I can do an Intrigue one in a little over an hour - we've done it twice now. When you bleed the system, do it with the engine off...several posts here about that.
