I had been reading for quite some on HIDP about boosting HID ballasts. So, I boosted a couple of pairs generic ballasts successfully and was telling fellow member awhelage about the endeavor having a feeling he may be interested as well. He dug up a thread on HIDP about boosting Hella Gen3 Ballasts. OEM quality ballast and boost on demand? Yes please. These ballast are a smaller form factor than many OEM so they are perfect. From stock these ballast output 33-35w. I customized my settings for 37w default, 46w on demand from cabin and 55w when cut-off shield drops in projector for high beam and on-demand from cabin. Anyways, not going to bore you all with the details of how to boost the ballast but will throw a link up later. Here is one of my Hella Gen3 ballasts converted from D2S to AMP so I can run them with XB35 H1 bulbs in my Mini H1s. Testbed for testing voltage and current on the OUTPUT of the ballast to get true wattage to bulb. Using 10x multiplier for better accuracy. A short video of the boosted ballast going through wattages. Annotation in upper left. Never know when you may need the extra light . Newer versions of MH1 have shown to handle the higher wattage just fine, but don't expect TRS to warranty. MH1 are cheap enough anyways. Enjoy and keep modding Will post when they are installed in the car. Currently have generic setup in with just 55w boost with high beam. Driving video as well, but weather has to get better first

Looked this up to find a picture because couldn't find it in my collection to cross post. Had to comment because this is still one of my favorite mods .

I'm curious as to the schematic for the integrated board you created. Can you provide details?
