I just replaced my AC compressor on my classic and it runs nice and quiet, but after 20 minutes of running the car, the drive belt developed a chirpy/rattle noise only when the compressor is not engaged. Also it speeds up with the rpms. It's not terribly loud but definitely noticeable. Since I heard it initially it has not gone away. Is there something obvious making this noise?
P.S. I intended to replace both accumulator and orfice tube, but I could not open any of those fittings. With a pipe wrench and added heat they wouldn't budge. I just left them in thinking it's better not break something that I couldn't find a replacement to. I should be okay right?

You really should replace the accumulator and look at the orifice tube, the orifice tube is the main filter in that system and may need changed.
