So yesterday I parked and cracked all four windows since it was supposed to be hot out. Upon heading home I went to roll up the windows, and the drivers side rear window didn't go up all the way, there was about 1/4" left. So I kept trying to hit the button up and then down and nothing. So I thought perhaps a wiring issue, then I went to "assist" it moving up and that's when it fell down about 4". I was able to hit the up button and pull the window up so its nearly closed and drive home (obviously not a big deal) but it seems that the window must have come off the track or something. When I hit the button, I can hear a motor and movement inside the door, so I'm hoping it'll be a quick and easy fix.
Does anyone have a diagram of how to take apart the door, and / or how these windows attach to the tracks? I'm sure I can figure it out, but it would be nice to see a diagram before diving into it, just to prepare myself.
Thanks in advance.

You have a broken regulator. Very common, I'll try to find a "how to".

Regulator and motor will be sold together, these regulators have a cable that breaks, and it drops the window down, so your motor usually still works. You can get the assembly off of rockauto.com for around $70 shipped, there is usually a discount code in the ACNA marketplace section, the same assembly at parts stores will cost you around $160, these are easy to change, takes about an hour.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll start checking out rockauto, and look for a discount code on here. And Tigger if you do find a how-to, I'd appreciate that too.
Thanks!

Well, the link in the 2G mechanical maintenance "how-to's" for the window regulator replacement thread is presently broken. But I did come across this post (sorry the pics are dead); To start first remove the door handle Bezel with a flat screwdriver. Next guide the inside door handle through the opening in the door handle bezel. Now its time for the door trim, use a fork type tool to pry out the trim retainers. Becarful not to pry against the trim as it will punture. There are seven retainers. Pull on the armrest hard to unlock the pull cup retainers. Rock the door trim panel (1) upwards, starting at the rear, while lifting upwards to remove. Disconnect the door trim panel wiring harness. Now is a good time to remove the armrest pull cup retainers from the inside of the door trim panel. Use needle nose pliers to compress the 360 clip. Pull the 360 clip out of the nylon nut on the door trim panel. Install the 360 clip to the nylon nuts on the inner door panel by sliding the 360 clip down into the grooves in the nylon nuts. You can now remove the Door control Remove the door control module fasteners. Remove the door control module. Now you can remove the water deflector, much the same as the door trim. Remove the push in retainers at the upper corners of the water deflector. Push the wiring harness through the slit in the water deflector. Carefully peel the water deflector away from the door, being careful not to damage the sealing strip. Here is the window regulator, by now youve got about 25 minutes in this already. To remove loosen the window retainer to window clamp fasteners 4 revolutions. Lower the window regulator about half way down. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window motor. Remove the window regulator to inner door panel fasteners (1, 2, 3). Tilt the motor end of the window regulator to the forward end of the door. Tilt the top of the regulator toward the lower rear corner of the door. Remove the regulator through the front access hole in the door panel. To install just run this prodedure in reverse and dont forget to tighten the glass back up. Also found this video for replacing the rear regulator on a '03 LeSabre. It's not exactly an Aurora, but it'll give you a good general idea of the procedure. Hope it helps and good luck!

UPDATE 7/28:
I finished installing the new part this weekend. The part did not come with a new motor as I originally thought, which was fine, but now I kind of think it should've been cheaper. Oh well. Anyways one note to anyone else doing this, is that the part on rockauto, (ACDELCO Part # 11R337) that I bought didn't have threads on the metal plate for the motor to mount to it like the OEM one did. Instead it just has holes for the bolts to go through, and I had to run to the parts store and pick up some nuts for the bolts. Not a huge deal, but kinda dumb and required I head into town for three little nuts. Anyways, just wanted to share in case anyone else is tackling this project.
---------------------------------------------------- So I took apart the door yesterday and removed the motor and window assembly. I wish they wouldn't have used those hard to remove plastic tabs to hold in the styrofoam door insert because, yeah, I broke all three tabs on the styrofoam block. Oh well. Anyways, turns out the cable didn't break, but instead somehow came off the grooved wheel inside the housing and then got tangled up. Due to the fact that it bent the heck out of the cable, I wasn't able to reuse it, and had to order a new one. I wish I could've just ordered a new cable or even assembly vs. a new motor too as that would've been cheaper, and my motor is perfectly fine. Oh well, rockauto.com to the rescue again, and got a whole new setup for $63 shipped vs. the $110 from my local discount parts store.
Until it shows up, I'll be driving my truck and leaving the Aurora in pieces in the garage. Thanks again to everyone for the input on what to do and look for, as always its very helpful!

I installed one a couple days ago, right rear, same deal, it was from rockauto and did not include a motor, had to get nuts for the bolts, too, and I broke one of the styrofoam clips. I think maybe it could be done without having to remove the styrofoam piece. I will know in a couple days, when I was pulling the Aurora in, I tried the other windows and the left rear broke. Ha ha. It's a used car at my work that has been sitting for a couple years.
