Ok I so I had an ignition switch issue and I made a post before about this well I have my mechanic working on the car and he called me and he said the car will crank up but still there is no ac/heat, windshield wipers still not working neither is the radio or the information center and the tachometers. So he still looking to see if anything else could have been done wrong and the car has been like this about 2 or 3 weeks now I cant really drive the car cause I dont even know how much gas is in it and on top of that the weather is permitting me from to not drive the car as well. Any suggestions I would definitely appreciate it. Car is a 99 Aurora(not sure if the year matters)

He replaced the part and the car was doing the same thing he said he think a wire or something is burnt out/shorted out or something maybe the computer cause he said the fuses arent blown they just aren't getting any fire to them. He said he was gonna call up a dealership and ask someone to come diagnose it or something.

half of those fuses werent working either(as in gettin fire) but none of them were blowed. Do you think it could have affected the computer in the car when replacing that part?

It looks like you still are not getting power from IGN1 and IGN3 fuse to the IP fuse block. Check IGN 1 & 3 fuses again. Otherwise something wrong in the switch, the connection near the firewall(not connected properly, broken pin, etc) or between IGN1 and IGN3 and the ignition switch. I would expect the car to not stay running though. Does it run?

Might just be a bent/broken a pin on the vehicle side connector. I'm not sure. If it starts and runs then at least some of the power is getting where it needs to from the IGN3 fuse.

Hey it all came down to I bought the wrong part for the car so my question to you is do all first gen Auroras have the same ignition switch because I will be goin to the scrapyard to get one off of another Aurora but just wanted to be sure if it should work.

Down to the absent pin in the connector. Human ordered this switch from the same seller so I guess we will see!

Im not sure then the guy that came to look at the car yesterday said the accessory power wire was not connected to a prong he showed me what he was talking about but he did test the wires under the seat and all those wires had current flowing through them its just the accessory wires up front under the steering wheel. So when this part get put on I will let you know. Did he say that switch worked?

It hasn't been installed yet AFAIK. Sounds like what I described though missing or a broken pin.

It's not real difficult to de-pin the connector and move the wire to the correct terminal. Usually calls for an exacto blade or small pin to release a catch lever, pull out and push back in. -Ohmmeter test (ignition switch connector UNplugged, key in Run) test for continuity from D2 to C6 and D6 test for continuity from D5 to C1 and C5
