I have been experiencing some misfiring whenever I start my 1st gen in really cold weather. Usually below 10F it can occur. However this morning it was below 0 and it almost died a couple while idling. This smooths out as soon the engine gets even a little warm. Occasionally I will get a code for random/multiple misfire. I don't know which cylinder to start with if it is any.

could be a fuel pressure issue

Mines doing the same thing and has for a while. Only diff is coldest it gets here is around 20°. I replaced ALL ignition componets. While it throws the random multiple misfire, I have pulled each plug wire off one at a time while car is running and every cylinder missed when wire was off so I couldnt specify which cylinder it was. Friday im replacing fuel pump to see if its the problem if not next is injectors. I will bookmark this thread and post if problem is solved on mine and what all was done to fix it. I read on a thread on here, one guy had same problems and it was fuel pump failing. Wasnt producing enough pressure

You can take a multi meter to your plug wires and coil packs to check them. Odd resistance levels or no connectivity.

Possibly fuel pump.. if I recall my last one did that too but never had an issue. I wouldn't expect it at least since the miles are low. The fuel injectors may be a more likely problem.

I just changed my fuel pump lastnight. Every problem I was having is gone.was having to start it with ether when it was cold. Then while running would miss and throw multiple cylinder misfire code. At times it would get very sluggish then run decent. And my mpg was only 9mpg. Now she is back to 23mpg. I would check your fuel pressure while its missing and see if its the same issue for you.
