Oh, and I am working on a theory that a car which is running is never worth selling or trading in unless somehow you have a Supra and just got your gal pregnant with triplets or moved to Fairbanks.

Oh yeah, when I change the oil, 10w-40 will be going back into it for sure. I did manage to inadvertently prove its efficacy when added some 10w-30 to it a month or two back and the LOPs immediately became a little more frequent. I'm definitely not into pulling the engine. That's why I got rid of my Cadillac.

I have a 95 and they have the oil cooler, because of a leak in the lines I replaced the oil filter manifold with a unit from a 99 Aurora that does not have the oil cooler and my pressures went up substantially. Mine you my oil pressures were ok before the change and my intent was to get ride of the old cracked leaky oil cooler lines and declutter the space between the radiator and the engine. It is a tight work-area. Someone may be able to confirm this but I think the 95's had a higher flow oil pump to cover the additional resistance of the cooler an lines. This may be just the little help to get you over the RED line. The change is not difficult when done at the same time as a oil change. One other question . What is your hot ,in gear idle RPM ? 50 or 100 RPM may do the trick as well. The throttle body get dirty on the 95's , making for a low ruff idle. I clean mine every 25 -30 m miles . Rich in Buffalo
