There are a lot of really old posts with sometimes conflicting recommendations regarding coolant.
Is Dexcool still the recommended coolant? One coolant engineer recommended using a non Dexcool "Mixes with any" product.
Yes or no on water hose flushing?
Are the Gm Seal Tabs still recommended?
Any other coolant updates or recommendations?

Any coolant is fine as long as you completely flush the system before switching. I use Dexcool. It is what came in the car and what coolant is recommended. I've never had any problems with it and it is supposed to actually last longer than your conventional Green.
I don't see how flushing with a hose would hurt anything but a lot of people swear by putting only distilled water in their cooling systems.
GM seal tabs are recommended. I put them in the lower radiator hose whenever I change the coolant. Usually two of the larger tablets.
It really is a matter of preference. I go by the book because that at least is manufacturer recommended. Some people will say Dexcool is awful, others swear by it, same with the seal tabs, a lot of people don't use them.
My standard coolant change is Dexcool and seal tabs.

I've owned nothing but GM products since 1988. I've used nothing but Dexcool since 1993.
I've replaced exactly one radiator in my life, and that was before 1993. Never, ever had a problem with Dexcool.
