Hi, I'm trying to get my little cousins Aurora to pass emmisions. Its a nice clean car with only 83k on it. Problem is it sat in a barn for multiple years and then when taken out, they ran it for a little while and then it broke a brake line and sat again. It started and ran great for sitting around so long. Replaced the brake line for my cousin and then it started running rough and it wouldn't pass emmissions. When they brought it over, they were not kidding when they said it ran rough! thing was running on 5 cylinders. Ended up that 3 injectors were completely clogged with rust. I ended up just getting a set of rebuilt injectors for it and it ran great. It also had a few O2 sensor codes that triggered, but figuring that it was missing on 3 cylinders, I cleared the codes and hoped it would remain clear. No such luck. Ended up with a code for a lazy sensor 1 bank 1. Replaced that and that code went away. Now Sensor 2 Bank 1 is coming up with codes p1139 and p0140 I think. Thinking it was the same as sensor 1, I replaced it too, but this time it didn't fix the problem Lack of activity and inefficient switching or vice versa. Anyhow, I grabbed a tech 2 and checked into it more thouroughly. It seems to be switching fine between rich and lean at most times. Maybe a little slow when idling. The mV doesn't quite keep up with the readings from sensor 1 and 3. So I wanted to check the wiring and see what else it could be. I'm trying to save the kid some money and do it on the cheap. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also anyone with the same car, where does the small diameter 20g? wire go, that's from the back left corner of the engine. It hooks up to the same engine ground that goes to the ignition module/coil pack aluminum mount. This wire is just sitting in the open. Is about 6 inches long and has some kind of crimp on the end that broke off. I cant seem to find where that goes. Please help
