So Im Thinking Of Buying a set Of Chrome Wheels For My 1st gen Aurora Around Christmas im Thinking of Going 22×8.5 With 255 30 22 Set of dilente Tires But Im Thinking the cars needs a slight height adjusting due to how low it generally sits at factory but not really sure Will i have to Lift Car? Will the wheels stress the tranny to much? What Would It Ride Like After i put them on? Soooooooo Many Questions? Plz leave your wheel Experience And Suggestions Below⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇

They will be a little harder on the trans and and braking. You don't mention the wheel offset which is important as well. My car with 20x8.5 and 255/35/20 rides fine. I can't say the ride with my other 17x7.5 with 235/55/17 rides better but it brakes easier. You'll get used to it.
However, your proposed setup makes you inch taller than factory. I'd recommend you go with 255/25/20 tire. Much closer to stock and no modifications needed. IMHO stick with 18-20s though.

Hello,
Is your car your daily driver or a part time thing?
On my MarkVIII I discovered some Foose wheels and their low profile tires KILLED my ride quality so I put the old wheels back on. Our Auroras have a superior suspension but boy did them rubber band tires show off the deadness in my Mark's suspension.

I am not nearly as picky reguarding this section, as pretty much anyone else... I bought 2 set of 17-inch take-offs to refurb, so that I can upgrade the brakes, then I bought tires to give me the closest to the-next-size-up, from stock.
That said, I thought the idea of going with much lower side-wall tires, was that you tune the suspension to go with the tires... If your Mark VIII came with balloon tires, you want wide/skinny, but they make the ride too harsh, you go with softer springs/shocks. For some reason, I'm thinking the more recent Mark VIII's were air-ride, all around.

You are putting this on a stock system. So other than increased wear on suspension and brakes you may run into problems with the filler tube and or bottoming out else where. The speedometer will be off quite a bit as well. I'd stick with the tire size suggested and keep the overall height of the entire package the same as stock ~27"
