Hello everybody, I have recently purchased a 1996 4L V8 Aurora and the throttle cable is very loose, ive googled many tutorials but my Aurora doesnt seem to have a traditional tightening mechanism,i cant find where to start and was wondering of anyone else on here has had the same problem

Double check the throttle body assembly. There should be an adjustment screw.

I have a 98 so I snapped a couple pics of mine. I believe the adjustment screw is a star hex. I believe it's this screw I circled in red - that's the left side cable present in the picture for a reference point. If you're unable to get that tightened then you can also go the (temporary?) route of using zip ties as spacers on the wire side. The zip ties act as good spacers to put tension on the wire. Be sure to cut off all excess zip tie if you do this. This can eventually be removed. Here is a shot of the cable area. Zip tie throttle body cables have been a common sight throughout my life.
