Twice in the last few days I have lost my low beams. All other exterior lamps are working during this time except the high beams. I can hold the stock, but it won't latch(think flash-to-pass). As if the MFS thinks the low beams are not switched on(switch in on position just no low beams). As they should latch with lows on. This is not an issue with HID ballasts or bulbs(retrofit) because the HIDs still work when the high beam is latched(quad highs). So, relay harness is fine.
My intuition says the MFS needs cleaned but also I have suspicion it may be the lighting control module. I won't really have time to look into much until the weekend. Just looking for any other insight/thoughts.

I was going to suggest with how many headlight mods you have that it would be caused by something to do with that, but since you seem to have ruled that out I would almost for sure suspect the MFS, although I have never had the same problem you are having so it's more of a guess than anything.

Yeah ruled that out by jumping the HID relay harness trigger from the positive junction. I'm pretty sure its the switch or more so the old grease problem. Especially since it's in the 20s here now it's probably super hard causing contact issues. I'll try some compressed air and/or contact cleaner soon. If that doesn't bandaid it I'll pull the MFS connector from the firewall and test for continuity multiple times. If it's intermittent still... re-grease the switch I guess!

Took the column cover top off this morning and liberally sprayed compressed air in there followed by CRC electrical contact cleaner. It seemed to be consistently working, but I'll hit it again this evening and then go for a test drive.

I started having intermittent no start issues in conjunction with this low/high beam problem. Security light was weird. VATS disabled in my PCM by Jake. So, knew it wasn't that. Disconnected aftermarket remote start(security light tied into OEM by me). Security light still on. Anyways, knowing all the MFS and ign switch is tied into the bulkhead connector at the firewall, I looked there. For whatever reason the bulkhead connector had became loose and was sitting at an angle. Making intermittent contact with some connections. All has been well since I reseated the connector. I put threadlocker on the stud. Time will tell.

What kind of starting issues were you having? Anything like mine?
