Owned a 1996 many years ago and want to own one again - looking for low mileage Aurora - they seem to be impossible to find nowadays.

I found mine on craigslist at 53k miles. That was about 8 years ago though. In any case, welcome to the forum and good luck with your search!

I found mine using this site. If nothing else, it's a pretty good resource for getting an idea of pricing an availability ---so long as you have a specific model in mind. It was called "Search Tempest," at the time. Now I guess it's called "Auto Tempest." It allows you to search all Craigslist listings, within a selected mileage radius. It will also give you links to eBay listings within that area, & links to search on Cars.com and Autotrader. It looks like they have added searches of some other sites (which I have never heard of, before, or used) too. The Seller I connected with had/has some Integrity problems, & so I'd suggest that if you use the site to travel too far, make sure you have a mechanic look at the car, AND be fully prepared to walk away. (The place I bought from seemed to specialize in saying: "Well, you've come a long way ---so, no, pricing is firm." Don't be too surprised, if asking prices seem pretty high. Sellers always seem to love to say: "always properly maintained..." without any real proof of that. They were high-priced enough, new, that customers were similar to Cadillac. Being stored in a garage, low-mileage, and having an elderly owner doesn't really mean that they followed the maintenance schedule. Welcome to the Club & and good luck shopping. I hope this helps.

I just bought a very nice 1996 from original owner with 35,000 miles on it - lowest mileage I have seen in a long time (for sale that is.) I live in Northern California - was planning to keep it for a long time but let me know if you want to ‘discuss’ and you happen to live out West.
