My Wife has a 2001 Aurora that I had to change the window regulator on ( rear drivers side) I broke the triangular piece above the door panel while removing it and would like to ask if there are any after market suppliers for interior trim. (GM no longer makes the part). Also there is a styrofoam block with three ears on it that I broke one off. ( I don't know if its for support or noise dampening)

Aftermarket?!?! Are you kidding?
Salvage yard or someone parting out a 2G are pretty much your only options.

That's what I figured. Well thanks for the reply. Guess I better start calling junk yards or find someone that is good with a 3D printer.

! found a replacement part but it's a little lighter gray than the original. Can anyone tell me how to find out the correct color match for my interior. I guess I'll just try to paint the new piece

FWIW, there's only 1 gray listed for the 2001 interior trim (VERY DARK GRAY, RPO 93I). I'd imagine your replacement part has just faded a little more over the years. But yeah, a little matched interior trim paint will fix that right up!
Where'd you find the part, btw?

I found it in a junk yard about 20 miles from my house. I drove over by Bowling Green first ( I had called the day before and the guy said he had a couple of Auroras ) but when I got there the lady checked her computer and said all they had was a 1999. So a 65 mile ride for nothing. I found one in Defiance but it was beige so I kept looking. Where I finally found it they had about 3 or 4 of them. Thanks for the response, now that I have the number would you lead me in the Direction of where to purchase the paint.

Well, you have the RPO code but that may or may not be the color code. I was just pointing out that there was only one gray for '01. You can find the actual color code on the Service Parts Identification sticker (RPO sticker) on the underside of thee spare tire cover. Here's where the color codes are; There are several places online that offer color matched interior trim paints but I've never used any of them, so I can't really offer a recommendation. Considering the size of the job though, you may just want to go to a local hobby shop and "eyeball" a match. GL

I've gotten color matched paint from the local hardware store by bringing an adjacent piece of interior for them to match from. Get a high durability latex and it works really well!

One can also take it to the workshop where the person can properly paint your car with the same color.
