OK I'm way behind with this update but as an archaeologist I work all over the country and often without my personal vehicle. With that being said I was without my Aurora for 7 months last year and so far for almost 3 this year. When I have time I'm busy doing something with her though - namely I finished the custom paint job last month!
As you can see it had the typical 90s GM paint issues
I stripped off 10 pounds of paint, got creative, and sealed it with Rust Bullet Clear Shot. It's not a wrap and it's not a paint job. It's really just clear coated bare metal with varying degrees of rust. It has a rat rod look. Couple that with a stripped out trunk and semi stripped interior(161 pounds!) - it employs old school hot rod thinking with turn of the century technology. The factory white pearl looks great with the shiny metal, and yes the color shifting spoiler, skirts, and pillar covers are completly over the top. The crackle painted trunk deck is equally bizarre.
