Hello folks, When I turn the key to start car the passenger side front window goes down on my 01 2nd gen. I tried to stop it by use of the drivers switch but it has to go through the down process before I can switch it back up. This is intermittent as it happens 95% of the time. Also the driver's window will not work. Any suggestions or questions would be appreciated thx.

might be bad window switch or before you do anything try to unplug onstar unit if you have one.

Another member here had this issue recently as well.
As a temporary work-around, engaging the window locks worked for him.
I'll second Paul, probably a bad(stuck) window switch.

Thanks for the reply. No OnStar and the window lock no fix, I'll try looking into the switch although all windows with the exception of drivers window work up & down, thks again.

It's like the car is possessed. Yup, that's where my car is right now. I have yet to get to a junkyard that has an Aurora in it but I did engage the window lock to keep the window up temporarily. Once I put a different switch in, i will let everyone here know what the result is.

Water under the seat can cause same issue or main driver door switch.

Mine didn't work when I got it. I put a new frame and motor in it and still no work. So I took it to GM and for 100 bucks they told me switch is bad. Wouldn't let me watch them test it. So 40 bucks online and I bought the whole set driver side. Now it works. Passenger side didnt either lol. Fuse under back seat was the problem there
