Hello all,
One of my door side moldings fell off at the car wash. I still got some of the 3M double side tape on my door. What product can I use to remove the old tape? I was thinking about Goo Gone, but I would like to hear some advice before I start spraying goo gone all over my door.
Thanks in advance, Gianni

WD40 will work just fine. Squirt a little on and work your thumb nail or whatever under the tape and spray a little more WD40 and it should come right off.

You might have to use a heat gun or a hair dryer and a squeegee when the tape gets old and has been exposed to the elements for a long time it gets hard and difficult to work with WD-40 or GOO GONE both work fine I have used them both.

They make an eraser type wheel attachment that you can use in a drill that will remove it nicely. These wheels are typically used to remove pinstriping. It will not hurt the paint.

An act of god might help too. That stuff is tough. Check your local auto parts store. Ask for an adhesive remover. There are products out there formulated to not hurt automotive paint.
