Ok, gents, I noticed the Final 500 Aurora has a front strut tower brace. Does any 2001+ Aurora have an STB?
If so, COULD it be mounted to a classic? Is the width of the cars the same? and puhlleeeszzze tell me it could work.
If I can get an OE strut bar for my car, that would 100x times better then getting an aftermarket version.

That thing that you see running across is simply the edge of the cowling and the rubber that seals the hood. It is not a strut-tower brace. However, the 2001+ Aurora does have a strut tower brace. But it runs behind the dash. It is the magnesium beam. I will take a picture of it so you can see. It does connect the strut towers, and I believe also braces the dash. I don't know if the classic also has this, but no way you could install it without at least taking all the cowling apart, and probably more than that.

I am not refering to the engine seal. Look at the horizontal bar on the strut tower near the back of the engine bay. Its lateral reinforcement of the front suspension. it runs over top of the brake master cylinder.

Its lateral reinforcement of the front suspension. it runs over top of the brake master cylinder. The piece that is highlighted by the red line is not an stb. It is a fat piece of rubber that seals against the hood. It slides over the cowling. You can see on the edges of the line I drew that there is a rubber cover that slips over the end of it. I'm 100% sure there is no stb visible in this picture.

I'm 100% sure there is no stb visible in this picture. Figures since I said 100% instead of 99%... It's possible I'm wrong. I changed the photo, so refresh your browser. The little silverish thing you can see inside that vent? Where I drew the green line? That could be the magnesium brace. If you notice, the center of the strut is actually well back, behind the front of the cowl and the fake-out "brace". So a real stb that ran the center would be in the cowl, which is where the magnesium bar is. I'll take a shot when I'm home, though, but that is likely what we are seeing in this photo. You can see the bar clearly if you look down the vent, I didn't think you'd be able to see it from this angle, though.

I see the bar in behind the vent area , yes, its quite visible. The strut towers themselves are not that far back tho, they are found within the engine bay. It would have been nice to see a re-inforcing strut tower brace. RSM wants $460 bux CDN for one

I don't think that RSM one would work on the new car. You can see the mounting bracket goes all the way around the strut, but you can't do that on our car as it would cause lots of problems with the rubber sealing. Here are my pictures. The bar goes right to the tower.

Wow...ok, thanks for the pictures, its much clearer now. For the unfamiliar is easy to see how that cowl could look like an STB from a distance. Would have been nice if the heavier Classic came equipped with one.
