Hey folks, a friend of mine just traded his Maxima for a '01 3.5 When we did our walkaround of the car, I noticed some sort of bracket in the trunk under the speakers. What is this?

Those plastic brackets hold a partition in place that is at the rear of the trunk, against the upright part of the back seat. ______________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

When an Aurora's involved, it's always a good deal!

I thought maybe they were there to keep luggage from hitting the speakers. To tell the truth, I've wondered a few times about them. By 2002 they were gone, and I think some 2001's don't have them either.

I see Jason beat me to it - I figured these things are useless. Their new home will be my trash can.
