Heheh, glad you like it! I love the smell of Pinnacle Leather Conditioner. I've two bottles of it now, and it doesnt' exactly go fast... On leather, how dirty is it? If it's like years of dirt, you might try an all purpose cleaner at a mild dilution. The leather is coated, so it should be ok for a one-time thing (be careful and spot test). Then use the other cleaner for maintaining it. Another thing you can try is Woolite at about a 5:1 mix. You will probably have to agitate the leather with a brush, but this might provide the cleaning you need.

Well, just some areas where the leather is darker than others. I have had the Aurora for almost 3 months and it may/may not have been cleaned before me. I just want to be sure that it is completely clean. I have the terry cloth pad I used to apply the leather conditioner on the table next to me - Man that smells good!
Thanks for the tip on the Woolite. Will give it a try.
I had a couple spots on the door panels that were stubborn and still have a couple scuff marks from shoe heels that won't come off. Must be something to get them off of there?

I have one stubborn little scuff from a service guy at the dealer on the bottom rail of my seat. I've tried various APC's to remove it with no luck. I am expecting a free sample of the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser that I'm hoping will make short work of it. I've heard good things. I don't think I'd use it on leather or the fake leather inserts on doors, but on hard/hardish plastics it should work very well. Just a thought, and keep in mind I've never used it.

I have used this product to great effect on all sorts of surfaces: Unfortunately they don't make it anymore, though they make a replacement called "all purpose cleaner". You can probably find it still on the web, though, or possibly locally. I used it on the Regal's leather when we got the car. It had 5+ years of grime ground into the seats. No spills or anything, just the grime and dirt from 5 years and 100,000 miles of use. I used APC+ at 9:1 on the leather with a stiff nylon brush, wiped it off quickly (spray on the brush, not the leather, or foam it up in a small bucket and dip the brush), then cleaned the seats liberally with water and Lexol Leather Cleaner to remove any trace of the APC+. I then followed with Lexol Leather Conditioner, though Pinnacle would work great too! I would only suggest this if gentler approaches don't work for you. I wouldn't make a habit of using this on leather, but if you are careful and aware it can be done with great result. I also used it liberally on all the door panels, dash, carpets, etc. I used it to clean the whole interior. Then I wiped down the interior (not the carpets, I used a shop vac, etc) with a wet cloth and treated them with a vinyl/rubber product. I don't have any before shots, and while not all stained and sticky, it had a fine layer of embedded grime over everything: members.aol.com/aurora402002/regal/intdriv2.jpgIt's also the same cleaner I use on engines and wheelwells. It works great on carpets and has fabric brighteners in it. Plus, it's biodegradable (though certainly not non-toxic). It has a fairly high pH in undiluted form, but dilutes well to the cleaning effort you want.

Those heel scuff marks are indeed pesky! Hopefully this will do the job on them and the other little marks here and there. THANK YOU.

For that I'm hoping the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will work... Otherwise some careful scraping will probably be required. It's a pretty stubborn scuff, fortunately in a location that's not apparent.

By all means, please let me know how it works. I see that you use the APC for exterior uses as well. Sounds like pretty good stuff.
Ever try "Spray Nine"? It is biodegradable and works excellent for stains in upholstery, clothes, headliners, carpet etc.

Yes, when I was in the Marine Corps they had a lot of that stuff around for some reason. I was mainly cleaning LAV's with it, worked as a degreaser pretty well. No idea how safe/mild it is, they didn't have plastic interiors or leather seats... I really don't know that much about it though. I do recall always thinking of strychnine when I looked at the name of it...

By all means, please let me know how it works. I just bought a Mr Clean Magic Eraser today since they were on sale at the grocery store and I got tired of waiting for my free sample. It worked just fine, the heel scuff is gone now. However, it does squish out a lot of water when you use it, and it took a bit of time to rub the scuff out. I put a towel under it to absorb all the water coming out of the eraser.

Thanks for letting me know. My wife actually has been using the "Mr. Clean" Eraser in the Kitchen - will have to sneak one out and hit those scuff marks from the heels in my Aurora! Thats one of the great things of Marriage - sharing! It has been almost a month since I cleaned/conditioned the seats and vinyl and it still smells very nice though not as strong. When it warms up - hopefully SOON - I'll put on some more conditioner. Also have a 1995 Olds Ninety-Eight that needs cleaning/conditioning with the Pinnacle. Again will wait for the warmer weather for it.

One trick is to put the applicator under the seat after you apply it... If you use the conditioner often (which should be fine, just use a light amount), you might want to start cracking the windows or sunroof afterwards. Much like vinyl products and a lot of other stuff, it can add to the haze that builds up on glass. If you don't crack some glass you might find you need to clean the interior of the windows more often if you treat the vinyl or leather a lot. It's not a problem, just something to be aware of. Good luck with the Magic Eraser, let me know how it works.

I've been using them for several years now on the walls in my house. It has ensured my children's survival. I love those things!
