Nice comparison link to have. GMPartsDirect, even though it sounds official, is actually just a Chevy dealership that sells GM parts from their shop at discounted prices. I'm sure the website brings them MUCH more business than their service shop does (where the parts would cost full price for the customer). * Stickied in Marketplace

Also for parts from actual Auroras (or any brand/model for that matter), www.car-part.com is a nationwide directory of parts from scrap yards. You can limit your search to exactly what part you need, and browse what's available by price, location, or a number of other parameters.

Here's another that is recommended by a fellow ZR-1 owner: www.partszoneonline.com/index.htmlI also ordered from Vandevere today. We'll see how it goes, but the price was slightly lower than GMPartsDirect. And they are special order parts but should ship in a day or two. GMPartsDirect would generally take weeks to ship me special order parts, with no notice at all, they'd just eventually show up.

Hey everyone, I've used these guys for parts for my Vette. They are always the lowest price and if you talk to them over the phone, you can negotiate with them for an even lower price. Hope this helps. www.partsandaccessories.com/

These may be somewhat obvious, but I want to include the retail parts stores in here: Advance Auto, Auto Zone, and Napa all have complete online catalogs now. The advantage is that if you have problems with the part or order, you can return them to a retail store rather than shipping them back. Advance (and possibly the others too) will also match other online competitors and has free shipping promotions, so you'll always get the best price.

You could also try this Caddy dealer in NJ www.buy-oem-parts.com/ I didn't want to create an account with them, but, for example, 'their' price for a rear coil spring for 98-03 models is $72.46 Don't know about S&H. Just FYI

Yeah. It's a front for Flow Chevrolet in Winston-Salem, N.C. It's one of several new car dealerships in Winston-Salem that has the Flow name on it. I'm actually surprised GM doesn't get after them for the name. It seems to border on deceptive advertising. Nice comparison link to have. GMPartsDirect, even though it sounds official, is actually just a Chevy dealership that sells GM parts from their shop at discounted prices. Well, I think I'll have to rescind my recommendation of P&G Chevy. Just this week I ordered a second ISS shaft, giving them the specific part #. My dad was coming over so I could fix his as well. As it turns out, they sent me the old part # instead, wasting both our time, plus now I have to go to the hassle of shipping it back. It seems like I have a problem with an order about 20% of the time. They may have nice customer service, but I'm sick of having to use it. Edit: To follow up, they were nice about fixing it. They are shipping me the right part, and a shipping label for me to send it back. They were very apologetic and nice about it. So I dunno what I'll do next time I need some GM parts. I like them, but man I get the wrong stuff this time, a broken emblem another time, an empty envelope that was supposed to contain some discontinued washers... They always make good on it, but the error rate is fairly high.

if anyone needs a very expensive AC DELCO part , I might be able to get it to them a little cheaper than these places. Brand new and right from the GM dealer. Just PM me.

for discontinued parts, usually you can find it at VPI www.vpartsinc.com/The price is a bit higher than MSRP and the shipping is usually $25+, but for discontinued parts... I dunno if there is another choice
