Well, i just got back from the audio competition, and i did a quarter mile run, my first time ever with a .505 reaction time, and a time of 15.7 @89.92 mph. I was kinda disapointed but then i again i did have about 200 lbs worth of audio equipment and a full tank of gas since i didn't think i'd be competing today . But i still had tons of fun ;D Edit: Oh, i almost forgot to meantion, a friend of mines - friend had a 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with about the same audio set up as mine for weight got a 15.1 @92 mph run, i expected to see about the same time considering his was bone stock, then again i still probably have a few hundred pounds on him.

Hopefully we'll have a lot more data to compare your run to soon!

I have heard (unconfirmed aka no time slip) that Autobahn equipped is 15.1 at 9X.00+ mph
Cant say for sure tho.
Edit. GTPs are quick..nuff said. I have a friend that has an essentially bone stock 97 SSEi and ran a confirmed 14.9 today.

I think that's the V-8 kobalt. Sounds about right w/ 7.5 sec 0-60 for the new model. The classic carries the added weight and runs closer to 8.0 sec 0-60, so the 15.7 @ 90mph quarter sounds about right for stock. Oh, that's right, yours isn't stock Supastealth. My bad.

Just to add some more non-conclusive speculation, I have some videos of my car for the exhaust sound. The speedo hits 60mph from 0 in just about exactly 7 seconds of video time. I've no idea how accurate that is in terms of the video time matching real life, etc. Plus, I didn't really floor it but rather rolled into it. But I wouldn't be surprised to run a low 7 sec 0-60. The car is pretty decent off the line, especially considering the weight.
I took mine to the track on a 102F day in the pre-Corsa days. Search Edmunds if you want the scoop on it. But it was basically a 16 sec 1/4 mile. I suspect the heat had a great deal to do with that time.

Aurora40....Altitude will also make a big difference in 1/4 mile performance. Was the track that you were at at sea level or above? _________________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

Marc, the track was about 500' above sea level, so not particularly high, though not overly low either. I believe it was mainly the 102F temps. There were several bolt-on F-bodies struggling to get in the 13's that day, and I ran within .3 seconds of a guy's Integra Type-R. He said he usually ran much faster. Some day I'll have to hit the track when it's under 70F.

I believe the temp was around 76 degrees, and i believe this area is generally around 250 ft above see level.

Aurora40....That 102* temp raised your et. Being 500 feet above sea level would make almost no difference. I had read an article on TCC some time ago that said that there would be a 10% drop in power for every 3000 foot increase in elevation. The temp that SupaStealth was running in is much better for 1/4 times. Also, when you ran your 2002, how much mileage did it have on it? _____________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

hmm, probably around/under 10k miles, but I don't really remember. It was summer 2002 I think.

part of the reason your time is so high is because the aurora takes a little bit of time to get going if you floor it from a dead stop. at least mine does anyway. not to mention it burns out the tires. but once it gets kickin, WOOT look out

I'm quite sure the car would perform better on a nice fall day.
