Definitely a winner, since your car is not fully OBD2 it is a worthwhile modification, esp for non Autobahn Auroras out there.
Ty runs a good shop, contact him first about the part, establish some dialogue about what it can do and get it if all sounds good.
This is legit stuff, not some Ebay joke, $289 is no penny pincher, but I bet its worth it. I'm still waiting for INTENSE or DHP to develop an OBD2 chip for the Northstar, but so far its been slow pickings, instead I read about all the OBD2 chips for the L36 and L67 and I foam at the mouth due to these lucker buggers..
*sigh* anyway, ya, its the real deal there.

Interesting
We will provide a list of some of the standard options so you can get an idea of what can be done. These options are for 1995 4.0l Aurora.
Speed limiter Torque management Traction control Better spark curve Firmer trans shifts EGR flow Converter lock Fan on/off
7/10 second difference in 1/4 mile (3.42 diff ratio car).
For example, the Autobahn Aurora is governed at a "what you see is what you get 140mph, so ya, it beats 108mph. It would be great to disable tq managment and free up the ponies there, TC...well traction control is manually controlled anyway, so no biggie there. Spark curve and AFR is all beneficial provided your car is properly tuned up. Better tranny shifting is gooood, on chipped cars the 1-2 shift is short and quick getting you to the power quicker (2-3), EGR flow improvement is good, getting the most out of the intake air after combustion...and the fans is really nice too, basically it turns on your rad fans earlier instead of at the factory programmed temperatures...this is a wonderful modification.
And and! 7/10 of the 1/4...nice! ;D
Usually $1000 spent = 1 sec less at the track, so this is WORTH it!

You should see the chip that INTENSE racing has for the Series II L36 and L67 (3800's) Amazing pieces of technology...those owners effin love em...its not impossible, but it needs to be programmed.
DHP MIGHT do it, but who know...meh, with Autobahn I dont really want it til my Stage 1 mods are done (intake left), then Stage 2 will be 80mm TB and a chip if possible

No...I wont be. Only the RSM 80mm TB, I have the RSM intake in my trunk (just the pipe, I need the filter still. But I am doing it all together, TB install and intake install. I was gonna get it til the prices jacked up, now I wanna wait til spring.

i kinda wish i had a 95 so i could get that chip, it looks awesome. although i don't want the risk of the electrical problems and such. but if somebody made a chip for the 96-99, i tell ya i'd be the first one on the list to buy that.

Can someone tell me what OBD1 and OBD2 stand for or means??
Also, what is a L36 and a L67??
I'm a rookie here, so take it easy on me.

On Board Diagnostics I or II. OBD-II was required by the EPA for all 1996 MY cars. It is requirements of emissions monitoring, and I believe a standard interface for at least the basics. But car makers of course implement many different sensors and such to control their cars, so the whole computer interface isn't the same, nor the sensors and readings available on each car. But OBD-II meant more sophisticated powertrain control modules were needed, and it had the side-effect of making them more difficult to modify.
L36 is the 3800 V6 engine, L67 is the S/C version of the 3800 V6. I believe our engine is called the L47.
