Eggcellent now I see all. I have the same extra hose as JimW, it is called a bypass. I think, as it is connected to the very top of the rad that it may help remove any air in the system, or its a bypass.

Its some kind of cooler...the line runs from the overflow tank to the radiator. Someone else MUST have this line. Maybe its a Dexcool coolant cooler , maybe the rad cools off hot Dexcool...*stab in the dark* Me thinks the oil cooler that was cancelled on MY '98 an up.

The second line is just an extra connection between the overflow tank and the rad. They decided that it didn't need it and later cars don't have it.

Oil coolers, at least OEM GM ones, are usually at the oil filter fitting and use coolant to cool the oil vs an oil to air intercooler.
Usually there is just one connection to the radiator from the overflow bottle. It's kinda weird that your overflow connects to the engine, but I guess there's no reason that can't work, especially with a pressurized overflow bottle.

hmm, i'm just curious has anyone else tried this on their car yet? i want to confirm that i did feel gains in torque and that it wasn't just the placebo effect
