So today some guy in a new Mazda 3 Sport pulled along side of me and wanted to try his luck. I guess he saw a large sedan and though his tricked out Mazda could beat me. To his embarrassment, it wasn't an contest and I was ahead by more than a car length before hitting 100. I was even a little behind him at the light before the green light. I guess another one for the good guys.

The little Mazda is a great economy car, but no burner. I'm surprised he kept up that long, was it a Mazdaspeed version? (Do they even have them yet for the 3?)
How do you like the Falkens? I've been eyeing them for a while now.

Falkens are very aggressive looking max performance tires. If my current stock wheels supported them, i wouldve spent the extra 400 for all 4 and went with them. Well worth it IMHO. Badass handling and serious looking. People know you dont screw around when you have tires like that. Especially with 18 inchers and 255's or bigger.

I went with 245, 255 would come outside of my fender too much.

Also, did you have any problems with traction control or speed sensors? The overall height on those is 25.71 in. compared to 27.1 in. stock, 5.13% smaller in diameter.

Great...i did not see them at TireRack. Oh well. Needed that extra money for other crap anyways. Like this 200 gay squeaky wheel bearing. Soooo embarrasing when u got a nice car and it does that.

They are awesome tires for the price. Dry handling is a huge improvement over the stock setup. I live in Canada so I'm they see all kinds of weather and handle everything in stride. I've even had them out in snow once or twice and they deal okay. No problems with any sensors or traction control, everything works fine. The road noise is minimal, but you have to understand when you buy low profile tires you will experience more bumps and noise than usual. Something my dad hates when I visit him and we go for lunch. So overall I have very happy and I dont see myself buying Michelin Pilots in the future.
