www.dyno-proven.com/coolcharger.htmthey have dealers across the US to install the kit. it's the air compressor which is belt driven, larger fuel injectors and a new PCM. if they only had a dealer here. someone let me know if you're daring enough to try them out. if they do caddy cars, they would surely do other northstars. if just 1 person gives this a shot with good results, i might be willing to drive 10 hours one way to get it done... or someone who's been around here forever will give a great reason why this won't work.

i think the "full-size" Cadillac's they refering to are the CTS's (STS's etc.) which are all rwd, the fwd Caddy's and our engine bay are pretty tight compared to that. but hey ya never know i guess unless you ask them

go back and re-read it guys, "The CoolChargerâ„¢ supercharger system is available for all full-size Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC SUVs and pickups as well as the Hummer H2. " Meaning Escalade...

oh... i was hoping full size cadillacs meant STS/CTS which could possibly work. Escalades have much larger engines i belive, 5.7L? yeah i don't think that would work on our little northstars.

It's pretty easy to find mods and blowers for variations of the Chevy smallblock.

It's pretty easy to find mods and blowers for variations of the Chevy smallblock. The GM full-size SUVs use the Vortec 5.3l and Vortec 6.0l V8 (minus some Tahoes and Yukon's which use the 4.8l). Early standard length Escalades used the 5.3 and later the 6.0 became standard. All Yukon Denali used the 6.0 I believe. The 5.3 was optional in the Tahoe and Yukon and the only engine available in the Suburban and Yukon XL was the 5.3 unless you went for the 2500 version in which you could get the 6.0l or the Vortec designed 8.1l ( ). All Hummer H2's use the 6.0l. I believe Vortec solely designed these engines. In previous models Vortec only tweaked the 5.7 smallblock which don't do much besides kill mileage. But the 5.3 and 6.0 are great engines. Just some FYI if anyone cared.

The "Vortec" designation has nothing to do with the "Vortech" supercharger company. A 5.3l, 6.0L, 5.7l are all Chevy smallblocks. "Vortec" is the truck engine line name. But they are all variations of the same platform.

I know they're not the Vortech supercharger company, but I thought they were their own stand-alone company as they're pretty big in the marine world too. They usually have their own booth at the local offshore powerboat races. And I remember the old Vortec TrailBlazer baja truck(2000ish) when they were developing the 4200 inline six for the TrailBlazer and Envoy.
