I bought ones of these for the '98 a few months ago. Finally put it on today. 22mm STS top. 17mm OEM bottom. Much better.

so is there some kinda magical difference with this upgrade Yes!! I upgraded my rear to the 22mm along with poly bushings on both the sway bar and end links. Corners at 45-50 MPH when you have a jerk behind you always makes me smile: ) Sent from my XT901 using proboards

Well it's not magical lol it's what it is supposed to do, but there is huge improvement over the Classic 17mm bar. I also have poly bushings and end-links all the way around. It's not as much of an improvement for the 2G going from 20mm to 22mm but I don't have that experience.
With the larger rear bar you will decrease understeer typical of our FWD. Less body roll. Coupled with the poly sway bushings and endlinks you will tighten up the ride. More sporty feel. More control. They make a vehicle's sway bar system much more effective like adding a larger bar.
