There is a little resonator box on the air intake that reduces intake noise. Many of us Classic guys run an airbox gut and remove the resonator for a little more aggressive tone. I used a 2" pipe test plug to seal the resonator hole on mine. The safest and most durable option versus a any bottle cap or foil tape IMO.

... Well I must resent my statement. It worked for Idk how long but at some point it popped out not in. So I got lucky, but my wife got all mad when I tore the hole intake apart looking for the cap when it was on the ground the whole time. And I found out I have no screen. I could open the butterfly and look right in. The screen is upstream of the TB, just ahead of the MAF. In the same section of intake pipe as the MAF.
