I have 2 PCM's loaded with the Shelby program. ;D
I am sending one off to HPTuners.
I am hoping to piggy back one on to my car. It will just run the Fuel and spark. Nothing else at this time.

Is the one you are sending me loaded with Shelby program? That would be fun since there is a Shelby motor in it. ;D ;D

I was wondering what PCM you were running, that was the reason for my post. Are you using a 4T80E trans in that car? What are the basic changes that you're making to a "programmed" PCM? A list of mods to the factory software would be a great thing to add to this post.

I have a tuned up Northstar PCM (#16214848) This is an Aurora PCM also. In the last week or so I switched to a Shelby PCM for the Engine and I am running a tricked out Northstar PCM for the trans. For some reason the line pressure is low. I have been having a problem for a long time with this trans. It was a Core trans that had a P0741. I just replace the Turbine shaft seals and put it in. Then I tried a shift kit, but it did not help. I disconnected the PCS after this Video and it is better. I based my shift kit off this bad trans. The first one I installed for a customer got my attention. He is happy, but it shifts to hard for me. I had to go back and adjust my spring rate.

I can make any year 4T80E (newer is ideal obviously) transmission work for the 95-99 model year Northstar configuration. Are you looking for another trans in the future?

I have two trany's on the floor at the dealership that are mine. When I was thinking about/planning my project we had a core trans that had been sitting around for about 6 to 8 months. The trans had a P0741 code. I just replaced the Turbine shaft seals. I was expecting to sell the car last May. Now I have been driving the car and pounding on it every day. That old trans need to be repiared.
Next Yes you can use a newer trans. You will need to switch 1 part. it would take about 1 hr tops.

Its my understanding that the Shelby PCM is an LS based one. If so that opens the door for alot of tuning via the LS tuner programs.

not to muddy the water but SuperChips is here in town and they alway like to see new projects for test and tune. Can you provide any details on what the wiring harness and PCM will do for a stock application? I have a couple of cars that could be used as guinea pigs.

My question wasn't if you could use a newer trans, i have 3 Auroras driving around my town using '06 transmissions. There are others with different years in use also. I have a source for newer transmissions and was wondering if you were looking for one. There is more than 1 part that has to be switched, have you done this before?

I have a 02 trans in my car The PCM I have in it is a 99. I do not have a Transmision range sensor on the outside of the trans. I used the IMS inside.

I really don't like to mix forums up, but I hate F.O.R.D.'s and any time I can get some GM guy's to run against F.O.R.D.'s I have to promote it. ??
