UAW endorses Dean to lead DemsThe United Auto Workers on Wednesday officially endorsed former Vermont governor and presidential candidate Howard Dean for chair of the Democratic National Committee. In a statement on behalf of the UAW board, president Ron Gettelfinger said, "Governor Dean has proven his ability to bring new people into the Democratic Party and energize grassroots political activists in all parts of America." The labor organization disclosed in a release that four members of the 18-member UAW International Executive Board are members of the Democratic National Committee. Anyone else wonder why an auto-workers union should even care who chairs the DNC? It may be that the UAW thinks that if Dean ever attains some high elective office, he might be in a position to to help them in various ways ______________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!
