Putting back into the community with a click

This is just a sudjestion to the admins. Maybe you could set up a "click" donation thing on the site.

What are they: With a click (no personal info needed) once a day to a certain link you donate a few pennies to a charity (depending which one offers this service). The donation are done by larger sponser, who donate in accordance to amount of clicks done, more clicks, more money they have to donate to the specified charity. So you don't have to spend anything, and all you need to do is click once a day (whenever you visite) and help others with such a small gesture. With so many of ACNA members, I am sure we can make a difference.

Good idea gpriest... but unfortunately with Proboards, we don't control the ads that appear so our options for customizing (even for a charitable cause) are limited. The only image we can change is the header, currently set as the ACNA logo. This would be different if the forums were hosted independently and we could pick/choose advertising; we tried that about a year ago but the end result wasn't so great. It because known as the "great crash of ACNA v2", and we ended up back here at Proboards. Thanks for the suggestions tho, if we ever have a way to implement something like that it can certainly be considered.

Yeah I deleted the post. It's just a bunch of nonesense spam links. Those have been popping up once every couple weeks or so, it appears people just join to post spam and then remove delete their profiles (which is why they show up as 'guest'). Annoying but it can be dealt with. Interestingly enough, I believe all of the previous ones I've deleted have been in this forum.

Actually guest posting is currently disabled, which is why I'm thinking they must join, spam, then delete their account(s). Who knows. Some ACNA peepers as gpriest said.

Only in this forum "Forum Suggestions/Questions" can guests post. This is in case someone has a problem registering or doesn't get their activation email or something. Otherwise they'd be up a creek with no way to contact anyone.
