How do you tell the difference in the factory wheels? Is there anyway to tell right away by looking at the wheels to find out if they are alloy or chrome plated? If not, how do you tell?

The difference I find is that the alloy wheels will have the normal silver look like you see on most cars. The chrome wheels will have the mirror finish. It looks like the cranberry aurora you have has the chrome plated rims. hope that answers your question although i think you are asking something different

Let's just make this a lot easier. Is the rim below alloy or chrome? Click it to make it very, very big.

Chrome will have a 'mirror' finish. High polish will be shiny. Painted will be dull and silver color.

It's chrome. Were you wondering if it was polished aluminum alloy?

It's chrome. Were you wondering if it was polished aluminum alloy? Yea, I was wondering. Hm, I had no idea. There's a lot of things I'm finding out about my car. And I LIKE IT!!! Now, what's the best way to clean these things and make em super shiny?

Chrome polish found at any general auto parts store. Really all you have to do is just wash them with warm soapy water to keep them clean. Unless you have some deep scratches or stains you don't really need the chrome polish. Be careful with the center caps though, they are made of plastic and the chrome doesn't hold up as well on the plastic.
