After finally getting better at using photoshop and putting the wheels I like onto my car, which do you prefer. Alloy, or chrome? I'm leaning towards alloy myself..

custom88, i prefer the alloy wheels...yes nothing beats chrome shining in the sun, but, its harder to keep clean and its ok if you really take care of it, but, i think the Auroras look better with the alloys. i think they are more conducive to the luxury image of the car

Clean chrome looks best, in my opinion. Particularly on the Aurora. I don't know exactly why.
However, I'm not a big fan of the wheel design you've chosen. I know it'll look different in real life, but the design itself just seems far too busy and ricer-ish to me. Not classy or understated enough for the Aurora. Just my opinion.

with that paticular design the silver finish looks better. a raw, clear coated machined/polished look would be the key, though. all the shine and show of chrome but without the flash.

Alloy
Your color doesn't contrast enough with chrome, IMO.

Those rims are very similar to the ones I have found. PM me with any suggestions of what you think would look better on my car. .

My car is about the same color, now with gold package, and I've got chrome 17" wheels that look just about the same. 'Cept I've got a classic. You judge... I've gotten pretty much nothing but nice comments. -Shawn

I'm not trying to hijack the thread or anything, but some guy asked me the other day if those were dune-buggy wheels haha. My car isnt dropped at all or anything, and I've got some pretty tall tires, so maybe I'm furthering the illusion a little bit. Hopefully 18s sometime next spring. But oh yeah, in response to the actual thread subject lol, I'd like to reiterate that the Aurora is a car designed to be with showy stuff, its a showy fancy car. In my opinion, chrome looks like it fits more nicely. But as you can probably see, I've only got 9 or so posts and I'm only 16 haha. I'm not saying painted or machined wheels are ugly, they're just not "Aurora". Sorry if it doesn't make sense lol. I'll quit ranting now. Hopefully I'm being helpful.

Tough call... could go either way, but I'm generally a chromie myself. I don't think they'd look quite as "blue" as your PS job shows, but more of a clean, white, polished shine!

Chrome! It's not nearly as hard to take care of as polished alum wheels! It looks so good too when it shines. I think it really adds a touch of class to the car. (These are all my thoughts as I walk out and see the chrome on my car.)
