Anyone else had a problem with a chrome wheel leaking around the valve stem? I have an 01 with the stock chrome wheels and have had the same valve stem replaced a couple times now. I assume it is corrosion around it that causes it to leak where it comes thru the wheel. Is there any kind of permanent fix?

Before you replace the wheel, see what the people at the site mentioned below say about fixing the leak. www.wheeltechnologies.com/

All 4 wheels went flat on my Mom's Suburban in a matter of a month due to leaking valve stems. Replaced 2 stems, the third went, spare on (full size). and then the fourth went. Bought a complete replacement wheel set.

Well another $25 for a valve stem replacement. Supposedly they cleaned and sealed the "stem port" this time, at a different tire store.

Just wait until the wheels corrode around the lip of the rim and then they leak around the tire bead! The guy at the tire shop told me this happens to all chrome wheels at some point. It's because of having to break the bead off the wheel each time sometimes takes the chrome with it. Then when the wheel is wet right before mounting the new tire, the moisture gets trapped allowing for corosion to begin.
