Just put some new sneakers on the rora. Can't believe the difference in ride they make. It feels like I'm riding on a cloud. Jerks at the tire place broke one of my hubcaps though!

If the tire shop broke your center cap, I'm thinking they better be replacing it! As far as the tires, I have heard very good reviews of Kuhmo's recently. A co-worker of mine installed them on his '01 STS for under $300, and said they are much smoother and quieter than the Goodyear's that were on it (replacement cost for those quoted at $800 ).

I myself have been thinking of purchasing Kumho's as my Turanza's are about on their last leg. Let me know what you think of em.

Jerks at the tire place broke one of my hubcaps though! Yep same thing happened to me way back when I had my 90 Continental. The guy broke the clips so he put some black glue goop to hold it on. I didnt know this until the next morning when I saw it laying on the ground. Anyway enjoy your new tires..

Yeah they did get me a new one, but tried to talk me out of it. The guy tried saying "you know these things weren't designed to be taken on and off a million times. The car is over 10 years old" So i told him that i would gladly put the center cap issue aside for a full refund. He got right on the phone. I guess he would rather lose $20 on a center cap, than $60 and me telling everyone i know not to go there. But back to the tires. I've put 500 miles on them, and theyre absolutely great. I couldnt believe how smooth the ride was for the first 2 days until i checked the tire pressure and all four of them were 20 lbs low. The ride is a little stiffer now, but still very very smooth. Oh yeah i forgot to tell ya that they first put the tires on backwards. They told me i was all set, so i went around and looked and sure enough, all four tires were mounted backwards. They weren't too happy with me when they had to take em all back off and re mount and balance them.

Huh, sounds like an interesting place to not only break a centercap but to mount the tires backwards. Will you be going back in the future?

Theyre cheap and eventually did the job correctly. I just had to help them along a little. It must have made them feel good when some 17 year old kid pointed out that these "professionals" dont know how to do their job.
