Well I'd either get these: tinyurl.com/8lwsdor -------- tinyurl.com/chlf5Or Just get Traction T/A's again assuming i keep the stock wheels for the next go around. Most likely not though, I am itching for some wheels real soon.

I've been running Ziex ZE-512s on mom's Altima for the last 2 years. Little wear or noise, good comfort and exellent snow traction.

I'm in FL, so I'll see no snow. Althogh I'd like a tire with good the aggressive look, while maintaining good traction on wet/dry.
Thanks guys,

Nick could you just tell us what tires you're looking at? The link doesn't load and it's a pain bouncing to another window anyway. My fav is just like kobalt, Falcon Ziex ZE-512. Great looking, great wearing, low price, rated #1 by CR, great handling, what I'll be putting on as replacement nears. The Kumho ASX is another fairly inexpensive tire with great reviews, but not as long wearing as the Falcon. Goodrich Traction T/A is another great tire. All of these are all season performance types. Toyo makes the Proxes for summer only use.

Goodyear Eagle F1 (216), Hanook Ventus Sport (144), Dunlop Sport 9000 (213), Falken GR Beta (152), and the BF Goodrich g-Force T/A (181).
All different prices, different tires. These are for 245/45/18 tires. I found prices a little cheaper elsewhere, but these are base prices.
Thanks,
-Nick

The links you gave are for 17" tires, not 18". The Eagle F1 GS-D3's are excellent wet/dry tires. They have very good wet weather traction and dry traction is high. I suspect a g-Force T/A KD would have an edge in dry grip, but we are talking an Aurora here. There are various g-Force T/A tires, though. Was it the KD's or what were you looking at?
And what do you want from a tire? The ones I'm familiar with (Goodyear, Dunlop, BFGoodrich) are not all-season by any stretch. Nor should you expect much tread life from them.

It's the g-Force T/A KDW NT REALLY nice looking tires.. treadwear of 300, not too bad.

Thanks Nick. Now what really sucks is I don't have much info on the tires you listed. I could quote some bs from web sites, but I just haven't looked at this type of tire for Auroras. I've done a lot of digging on that High Performance All Season type that Auroras usually upgrade to and I have some definate opinions there, but I'm clueless about these tires.
Maybe you should check on Camero or Mustang sites, maybe Car & Driver .com. You might find quite a few more guys running that rubber than on this site. Just a suggestion.

Eagle F1 Supercars, F1 GS-D3's, and BFGoodrich g-Force KD's are ones I'm considering for the Z. I'm not really interested in the F1 GS-D3's because I don't care about wet-weather handling. So the little I've researched won't really be that applicable. The GS-D3's are great wet/dry tires, though. But the Supercars are even better in dry.

I'm a real big fan of the GS-D3's. I did a little bit of research a while ago and loved the F1 GS-D3s. When that long await day comes, the tires will be GS-D3s. Especially since mine sees a lot less miles per year.
It's not hard noticing that almost every review on tirerack.com about the F1 GS-D3's are very postive. The only negatives I've seen involve the factory ones for the VW's. I suspect they quicky ran off a set for VW.
Also, they look great. Lastly, don't forget that you're in FL where it rains most of the year.

Right Shawn.. I think I might stick with the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW NT, it quotes "Ultra-high wet weather performer".. and its like $40 less a tire than the F1s.. maybe next time around I'll give the F1s a shot..
