I am looking for a few new tires for my Aurora. Anyone have any ideas?
I am not just looking for something that will run down the highway at 100+. I need some tires that will do well in the snow. I also put a lot of miles on my car so more miles on the tire would be nice.

if your not afraid to spend some money, I wouldnt hesitate with Michelin Pilot MXM4. "Are all season tires designed to enhance the performance characteristics of luxury touring vehicles..."
alot of miles....then i remember a TOYO tire I had, i think they were 'ultra 800's' that were awesome for mileage..the tire dude said they would be the last tire I bought for the car (it was a minivan and i'm sure someone is still enjoying them today!).
so many choices out there...

www.michelin.com has a step by step guide for your Aurora, and most other cars. They will recommend the best tires they have for your car. Then go buy them at Sam's Club. That' is one great deal there! Something punctured a hole in one of my tires that I bought there in December last year. They plugged it for me for free. Plus I have lifetime rotation and balance for as often as I like to have both or either done! You can't beat that!

my tires are considerably worn on all fours (had em rotated with 3k on em) and they all only have 5k - lol. I squealed tires a lot this summer. Also did 4 or 5 burnouts cause i was showing off one day when i watered down the parking garage with the hose from the pool at the hotel -- that was great lol. There was a ton of blue smoke everywhere

Yeah, my car came with Traction T/A's and they lasted no more than 15-20k until they were pretty much FLAT. They wear quickly... excellent tires (I replaced the T/A's with the same T/A's - that's how much I liked them) - but they're not good for the wear-concious driver.

One of the best tires out there (read reviews on Tirerack) is the Kumho Ecsta ASX. These are the tires that will be replacing my Michelin Energy MXV4's.

Continental ContiPremier Contacts look pretty highly recommended on TireRack's website, they have great reviews, and wear forever. They would be worth looking into.

I just recently put on the Kumho Ecsta ASX's in the255/50/17 size. They just barely fit my 2nd gen wheels. I have only had them for about 1k miles but I really like them so far I have noticed an improvement in all facets from my stock Michelins. Obviously they haven't been in the snow yet so only time will tell on that.
